Man, the drums are, of course, amazing but that horn section is where it’s at for me. I’m a trumpeter, so yeah. Always gotta believe “your” section is the best, never goes away no matter what. Incredible performance.

I must be used to a particular version... But I kept hearing horn sections in my head, not played here. Dizzy? Cannonball Adderly? Movin Wes? Stan Kenton? One of those lp's my Dad raised me on. Hotter horn riffs.

What Fun hearing this MUSIC as i grew up in America in the time of big band and makes me jealous to hear all this great music inside of this music??? known as RAP CRAP. So glad that i found this great music and MUSICIANS with TALENT. Great thanks from a 93 year that loves GOOD BAND MUSIC.

I have to be 100% honest & say that if it wasn't for the 2014 film " Whiplash " I wouldn't have heard " Caravan " & " Whiplash " or in reverse as shown in the movie & I'm eternally grateful for that movie for introducing me to such amazing music... I've always loved those who play instruments & make such amazing music that can transcend language barriers/political barriers/racist & sectarian barriers & anything that trys to stop it as you can't stop music reaching into our hearts & certain countries over many many decades have tried to stop & banned music reaching out to those who just love it but it will always find a way to reach those who love what it brings to them... Thank You to the uploader as this link just showed up on my KZfaq channel & thats because its monitors what you watch & sends other similar uploads & since I look up so many various instruments being played I'm glad this finally reached me & to see these guys playing with amazing skill but , for me & more importantly , having a heck of a time & for the sheer fun of it , as they play off one another , was what I enjoyed the most... I understand all to well about taking your craft seriously & reaching to your highest potential but let's not forget that musician's should enjoy playing their instruments & the audience enjoy it even more when the see amazing musicianship being played but having fun all at the same time... I've always been a big fans of the horn section within various music genres & " Caravan " does a great job of blending all the instruments together... If I could word it you'd know more of what I speak about when I talk about music as in written form my passion doesn't come out as it does verbally & within my heart... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus and it's variants stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... " Respect & Peace " .....

Isn't that Thilo Wolf on the left kit up front, he's the leader of the big band and plays piano. He's a great drummer, i didn't know he could play drums like this, great job, i love the big band.

He studied drums with Charly Antolini, plays bass and piano and leads combos and big bands. Sometimes you find Germans with a sense of rhythm, tempo and swing (if you search thoroughly enough).

Every band should have 2 or 3 or 4 drummers, truly. I can recall playing a couple of gigs without a drummer; small combo and it was much more difficult than our "normal" group configuration.
