At around 12:50 the episode you're referring to is the "Clear" episode from season 3. When they go on a run for guns and run into Morgan! While Rick is driving you can see a guy running after them begging for help with an orange backpack. Then on their way back the guy is being eaten by walkers and Carl picks up the back pack and they go on their way!

Yeah and ever since then that orange backpack has been a part of the series. It should be common knowledge by now lol. But the final orange backpack moment was leaving Alexandria in season 8 episode 9 after burying Carl. Loved looking for that backpack whenever it showed up.

I think the orange backpack was a throwback to one which Rick, Michonne and Carl found on the supply trip (when they met Morgan, Season 3 Ep 12) that was worn by a hitchhiker, who they passed by when they were on the way there, then on the way back they saw his remains and picked up the bag. It was then used by the group until like terminus (one of the items that Rick saw along with Hershel’s watch, Daryl’s Poncho). Quite a big callback as that’s 5-7ish seasons ago!

To be honest, when I saw Michonne take off, part of me was quite relieved because I was thinking to myself, "At least this means she doesn't die". I love that she's going to come back for a little more but it mostly makes me nervous. 😅

I wonder if that was her sendoff episode or if she comes back with supplies to end the Whisperer War? I really feel like that was her permanent exit from the show. It answered the burning question I had of how she would exit without her kids. She figures she will definitely be back. If she didn't feel that way, she would have definitely taken the kids with her. It was more of a peaceful exit than I figured it would be. I had hoped she would remain alive. I guess we will see Rick and Michonne together in the movies. Yay! I just wonder how they will get reunited with their kids now if neither of them is returning to the show. Maybe Rick & Michonne make contact with Alexandria and another character exits the show with them and they all reunite in the movies. If the series is ending after Season 12 (rumors), this entire cast of characters could close out the flagship show in the final movie of the trilogy. That makes the most sense in my mind.

I dont think there would be anymore named whisperers. I know alpha means she is the alpha of he group. But alpha, beta and gamma are types of radiation. Theres no other types so no more names to give out

Wow, halfway through the 10th season already, Kate? I remember watching the 1st season in October of 2010 with my dad (who has since passed away), he liked that season and thought it was the best (looking) zombies he had seen. My late fiancée (who passed away unexpectedly from illness in January of 2017), was also a huge TWD fan, I still have photos of her with Michael Rooker and other casts, at a convention and of her in Georgia, where the Governor's town was set in. So I have a bittersweet relationship with this show and these are the reasons why I stuck with it after Carl was killed off (which utterly disappointed me) and left me unsure whether to continue watching the series. Christmas (my favorite holiday), is just around the corner, and I guess, has left me in a melancholy/introspective mood, so, cherish your loved ones while they (and you) are still here in this imperfect yet at times, wonderful world. ✌️

We've lost so many good characters. Latest being Siddiq and all the ones with heads on pikes. From first season we're down to only Carol and Daryl, and soon to be back Maggie. Missing Carl and Rick so much.

Father G now stands for Gangster. He Ricked up. The "my mercy prevails over my wrath" was what Siddiq said and Rick later repeated and honored by sparing Negan.

I feel like Dante could've easily got himself out of this one. Nobody suspected him of being a Whisperer. (Apart from Siddiq at the end.) All Dante had to do is shout, call for help and explain how Siddiq just "collapsed". Or he could've spun it a different way and "found" Siddiq who had just commited suicide. Everyone could tell he was going through something so this could've been believable. I think Dante really underplayed his hand here because they would've believed him in my opinion. Plus, him being the only other doctor left after Siddiq gives him a very unique position which I think he failed to see.

The orange back pack has popped up periodically throughout many seasons. The hitchiker scene was in S3, when Rick, Carl & Michonne went to get weapons. It defo popped up (along with the poncho) at Terminus and we've seen it a few times since too.

Technically "My mercy prevails over my wrath" is a Siddiq throwback, which was why she said "friend". He says it when we first meet him, and he passed it on to Rick when Carl died.
