You can split the tracks into 4 categories: 1. Have ultra shortcuts that are faster in 3lap and flap runs - Mushroom Gorge, Mario Circuit, Coconut Mall, Wario’s Gold Mine, Daisy Circuit, Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway, Grumble Volcano, Dry Dry Ruins, Rainbow Road, GCN Peach Beach, SNES Ghost Valley 2, N64 Sherbet Land, GBA Shy Guy Beach, GCN Waluigi Stadium, DS Desert Hills, N64 DK’s Jungle Parkway, N64 Bowser’s Castle 2. Have ultra shortcuts that are faster in flap runs only - Luigi Circuit, N64 Mario Raceway, DS Peach Gardens 3. Have no ultra shortcuts - Moo Moo Meadows, Toad’s Factory, DK Summit, Moonview Highway, Bowser’s Castle, DS Yoshi Falls, DS Delfino Square, SNES Mario Circuit 3, GCN DK Mountain 4. Are special cases - GBA Bowser Castle 3 (has an ultra that has been faster for flap in the past and was going to be faster for 3lap but no run was made between the realisation of its potential and the discovery of superhopping - superhopping being faster than the ultra by 8-10 seconds in 3laps and 1-2 seconds in flaps now), GCN Mario Circuit (has an ultra that saves time in isolation but is a terrible shroomspot, since you lose multiple seconds missing out on the chain chomp grass cut and the tunnel wallclip shortcut)

The first clip is freaking precise, summoning salt in his video explained the history behind it (btw, it was discovered only recently that you can do it with 1 single shroom) and TASers themselves struggled for a while before getting it to work with 2 shrooms (therefore landing far enough to avoid triggering the 1st key checkpoint). I'm not honestly a good mkw player nor a good or experienced TASer at all, but I'm pretty sure we will never see it done humanly any time soon unfortunately. Edit: btw, the first one is an ultra shortcut, so even if done perfectly it will never count the lap online (sorry for ruining your effort 😅, still very appreciated, even for the hardest thing ever we will never be able to safely say it's impossible (unless it requires skills humans don't have, obviously))

@@Nico2718_ it's not gonna be done humanly because it barely saves a fraction of a second even with TAS it's way too difficult to be worth it for such a small time save. You'd be better off grinding to get an extra chain wheelie than to bother learning multiple different difficult clips

@@ObeisantBug3808 entering the shortcut looks the most luck based, but getting the extra distance in the out of bounds after the pipe clip is actually easier then the entrance, all you need to do is hop at the precise timing once hitting the OOB, I've done this by accident before on other course.

No it’s just because the driving is annoying on Daisy circuit. Meaning if you can do the USC and skip part the lap then you don’t have to drive through the annoying parts of the track 😂

i suggest looking into ctgp. there are tons of videos out there that show how to install it, and there is a huge online community. its a little bit of work, but well worth it in my opinion.

I typed in Mario Raceway TAS and this is what came up. I saw a Quacker one too but it was using some other codes as well (to stay on top the wall). I'm not aware of a newer version but I can always feature it later!
