Don't push yourself too much. Take care and take your time to get well. There's no need to rush as I think this is the best Linux related channel and a lot of people will agree. Loving all your tutorials, specially this one. Maybe later you could re make this tutorial with better quality, another reason to not rush, better release quality over quantity. Btw I would like a new video about Plymouth and how to install it as the original one has a typo and I had to find other sources to finish the installation. It talked about checking what graphics I use in order to have the actual boot screen instead of the default one that is kind of a black screen.

I got a question or request. Could you do an additional video with BTRFS + LUKS, UEFI, and Boot on the same Part as the ESP on a Live System or bare metal? Followed the one on your VM but it wasn't quite the same to apply to a separate boot partition and looking for details about Grub entries for Luks.

Simply using su without any value also works, the root user is the default user to switch to. It is like using cd doing the same as cd ~ , in both cases it will switch to the home directory of the user.

I tweak the kernel all the time in a newbie way (linux-tkg), the big problem is to not break virtual machines with a custom kernel.

Good afternoon. Is there any way to disable the ipv6 setting via sysctl? it is necessary for mpd and ncmpcmm to work. I have read the documentation on arch linux but i can't get it set up((

Just a heads up, my latest Arch update blew away my lightdm. I'm thinking it was systemd. My lxdm VMs are OK. Anyway, the symptom is that in lightdm, I login, it accepts my password but jumps right back to asking for a log in. If I use an incorrect password, it says so. I can open another tty with ctrl+shift+F3 so I'll probably systemctl disable lightdm, install lxdm and systemctl enable lxdm and hopefully I can recover my install.

Something I can't find an answer to ! Chsh commands don't seem to work in pop os? Try the normal chsh -l I get the very same warnings even if I put in what the man page says. I put the normal chsh - s /bin/fish as to where all shells would be it comes up with fish is not a shell. 😂 Wtf
