Mom and dad took me there around 1971 when I was 7 or 8 years old. and met Fred Kirby, who hosted a Saturday morning little rascals show.

Looks like a neat place. Never even heard of it before now. Would have taken my kids there. You are absolutely right, young kids will tell you exactly how it is. Thank you for the video. Have fun, stay safe and stay healthy!

We visited this place a few times, back in the day when it wasn't nearly so fancy! I'm glad it's hopping, and your daughter is a trooper, I bet she slept well after that!

She fell asleep 5 minutes after we pulled out lol

Glad to see places like this still thriving. I know people have been trying to bring Ghost Town in the Sky back but don't if it will ever get back going. Love trains, especially the old Steam Locomotives. Just did the Great Smoky Mountains Train Ride in Bryson City NC a couple of weeks ago.
@realappalachia3 жыл бұрын
I've been wanting to ride the train in Bryson City for a while too, is it good?
@bigtarheelfan3 жыл бұрын
@@realappalachia yes it's worth the trip. I did the Nantahala Gorge Tour which goes across Fontana Lake. They also have the Tuckaseegee Tour which goes thru a tunnel and goes by the train wreck from the Harrison Ford fugitive movie. It's fun and scenic. I wanted to ride in a open air car but took my elderly mother and she is short so rode in an indoor car so she could sit right at the window. Worth the trip and Bryson City is a neat town.

Looks like Tweetsie has changed quite a bit since I was there as a kid. They used to have a fake shoot-out & robbery & then they'd jump on the train! When our son was about 6 or so we took him & it was about the same. Looks much bigger now with alot more stuff to do. Kennedy is precious! Makes me miss my son being little & not being able to have taken our grandson there. Glad to see its still going! God bless & safe travels!
