Dr Timothy Brittain-Catlin RIBA is Reader in Architecture, Director of Graduate Studies and Chief Examiner at the Kent School of Architecture, University of Kent in the UK. His most recent book, ‘Bleak Houses: Disappointment and Failure in Architecture’, is a critique of architectural criticism, its impact on discourse and the quality of the built environment.
