This song gave me force to wake up and go to school, to beat depression, last year. During weeks, this was the only song I listened. It took a while to stand up, completely well, but now I'm ok. I could never thank twenty-one pilots enough for this. But thank you, sincerely. I don't know where I would be if I had given up.

Please, whatever you do, don't ever give up, Jo Jo. It's never too late to get help. "This too shall pass", I used to tell my sons, because it's true. Whatever colossal calamity you think has ruined your life forever... I promise, it hasn't. I will tell you what HAS ruined my life and my younger son's life... The death of his older brother on December 2nd, 2021, by his own hand. He would've turned 30 on Christmas Eve. We're completely destroyed. Month four without him is excruciating. No mother should have to bury her child. Hang in there. People care. What I would give to have one more conversation with him or one more hug.

And i too have just turned 30. Lowest part of my life is now. Some days i just feel like I'll snap out of it but nothing makes me happy anymore. Idk. Just rambling, sorry to just openly share my own personal issues when i wasnt asked and especially sorry to you bc this isn't about me . Ugh just needed to let someone know how I'm feeling because there really is no one who is there to listen. I hope you feel better as time goes on. I will keep you in my thoughts ❤️

Please never do give up. Life is nothing but such an intricate beauty, somedays you would be sleepless in the awe of life and somedays you'd only want to sleep the day off and you must, someday life has so much to give you and on some days it will take away more than what you can give. Such a precise and orderly turmoil, isn't it? The beauty is in being alive between these extremes. There is nothing more beautiful than looking upto a beautiful halo around the shining sun after a catastrophic storm just like how you fought against your difficult times. It is beautiful, everything is, just give it the time it needs and don't ever give up.

It’s 2023 and I still think this song is the best off the album just as I thought in 2015 when this album came out. Nothing will ever change my mind. This song was so beautiful to me because it reminded me of when I was in my hometown. I was just a kid back then in middle school trying to survive. I grew up isolated, bullied, and angry in school and at home where I lived. I remember replaying this song over and over again on the bus ride to and from school because sometimes.. it was the only thing that got me through my entire day. The lyrics always felt like I was having a conversation with myself about being the light within all the darkness trying to gnaw at me constantly during my childhood and development. The background tune every time Tyler stops singing always sounded so beautiful because it just feels like you’re in a rocket ship in space making friends with the stars. Hence, I could imagine that and I can be taken away to some other place in the nooks of my mind for awhile. I wish younger me could see that it got better. I am nearly in tears writing this comment because while I am listening to this song… I am living in a whole other town and I’m living an entirely different life. My adult life has been so much brighter and nearly just as amazing as this song. I still will always hold that younger me who has a small little flame somewhere deep inside dear. I still don’t think Tyler and Josh will ever understand just how much their music and presence has impacted me over the years. I am planning to get a tattoo soon based off another song of theirs that is extremely special to me as well. It may sound cliché but I’m doing it because this band saved my life. I love the fandom who has stuck around all these years and I love you, Twenty One Pilots.

After my mother found out she had cancer, the first thing she wanted was to go back to her hometown. The news and the fright moved her so much, me too but I couldn't show that I was worse than her after having lost my father recently and she couldn't stop thinking that I would be alone in the world. Through the bedroom window I looked at my mother every day in the hospitalization room and I couldn't do absolutely anything to help, you know when you want to do anything to change a situation but you feel powerless. It was painful just to look, I would leave the room and go to a reserved place and break down crying if I could I would change places with her. She was a warrior, after the first exam when she found out everything and they said she only had four weeks to live, she couldn't stop smiling even though she knew deep down that each day was a goodbye. Mom, you must be with my dad right now and know that you are missed and I love you both so much, not a day goes by that I don't think of you.

+Alaina D. That's a good point, but lets say this was about cheeseburgers (random, I know) How can you say you like cheeseburgers if you've only eaten the ones at a certain restaurant? Even if you've eaten all the types in that restaurant, there are still tons of other cheeseburgers you haven't eaten. So.... its safe to say that you _can_ like TOP even if you haven't heard all of their songs. Its just because you haven'y put yourself in their position that you don't feel okay with it.

2:17 gives me chills... just wow. the best one minute of the song follows. this is 'time capsule' worthy. It's a great representation of 2010's music. I love all their hits and newer stuff is groovy, but THIS is what I love Tyler's music for! REAL thoughtful melodic music. MORE OF THIS TYLER!

19 years old, gone to New York for the first time, massive top fan. This came on down when I was going down an escalator, was amazing. Feeling like someone in New York, the lights, the atmosphere, compared to my little town I’m from in England my home town really was in the dark

I'm older than most of their fans. My 18 yr old daughter has been a fan since they posted from Ohio. She used to say...Dad! These guys are awesome. this song brings me back to when I was younger. I remember my mom got me the blurryface CD when it first came out, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I would put it in my CD player every night before I went to bed. This song deeply impacts my soul into ways I never thought was possible it makes me feel like it's describing me when I was younger and where I'm from my hometowns in the dark and by that it means that growing up through middle school I was bullied non stop i was spat on punched kicked hit called names I was torn down every day and every day was in the dark for me it became something so hopeless and I didn't see the light but God taught me something so important and i will never forget it he taught me to love others as I love myself and to turn the other cheek and it helped me to have both of my biggest bullies in middle school becoming two good friends and it all was because I said to those bullies "hey man listen I dont know what you are going through or why you hurt me and put me down but I want you to know that i am here for you i love you and I fogive you and I'm here for you if you ever need me" and because of those words not only did I show them hope that they couldn't even see when I myself was hopeless too but i showed them that being scared is normal its ok to be uncertain of who you are and what you believe because realize it or not they bullied me because their hometown was in the dark too. And i just discovered this song recently and the first time i listened to it I cryed and cryed because it made me feel the past is beautiful the pain is beautiful being in the dark is what has allowed me to be such a bright shining light to those who's hometown is stil in the dark. Thank you Tyler and Josh i couldn't be more thankful for you!

The funny thing is that stressed out was never even my favorite on the album even if it is good, and it doesn't help that they are overplaying it on the radio, I mean I'm happy they're starting to get the size fanbase they deserve but when songs get overplayed it makes me a little angry and I don't like to listen to the songs as much anymore, and I like the idea of heathens because it's true, the fans like to separate into old fans vs. new fans and I've been a fan for a while now and I understand that they get mad at the people who JUST became fans from stressed out and the fact that they try to call them fake fans but I also understand the fact that if you like the music, your technically a fan, the only thing I would be angry with is if someone new came in trying to say they are a huge fan when they've only listened to some of Blurryface because that's not their only album, all in saying is that they shouldn't be judged based on one song because their music is very diverse

Johnny boy went to go get a taxi cab after he stole a car radio from his good friend the message man. The police caught him when he fell through a trap door. They were pointing their gun hands at him. On the way to the station, he saw a house of gold, and it looked like there was a kitchen sink in there. The area was fairly local. When he got to his cell he sang an ode to sleep, and the whole ordeal had him stressed out and gave him a migraine. Afterwards he met with the judge and was sentenced to fall away.
