Half a year ago, I was going through some shit with myself. I got into college but I was feeling so lost, hopeless and suicidal, turns out I had depression. God, I even thought about killing myself on my birthday, but Trench was recently out and I will listen to it religiously every single day, I even got tickets for their show here in Mexico City and I kept on living thinking about how much I wanted to see them live again. I love every single song in Trench, but this one has such a special meaning for me, cause it reminds me to my closest friends and how much they helped me and cause it talks about hope, resilience and how it´s okay to be lost for a while, cause eventually, you will find yourself. Back in my darkest days every time I listened, I would think "I really want them to play this on the show, if they do it I´ll be sure I´m gonna be fine". A lot of stuff happened in six months, I got to therapy thanks to my college best friend and got diagnosed and treated and it was amazing. I became a happier person, a better human being and I got back a lot of the confidence I lost in the way. Anyway, the show was last friday and it was such an amazing experience. I met some of the coolest people in the world, I was with one of my best friends and I even touch fingers with Tyler in Car Radio, but the best thing was when they played "The Hype", cause I broke to hysterical joyful tears and sang with all my heart, and when it finished, I hug my friend and looking at the ceiling of the venue I said "I can´t believe I´m alive. I am alive. I overcome it. I´m here". Of course, my depression ain´t gone, and sometimes I still feel lost, but now I know it´s okay. I´m surrounded by amazing people that remind me of my value and that feel me with love. I have so much hope for the future and I know that I will achieve great things. And this song it´s the proof and the reminder of it. Stay alive, folks. I promise you´ll be just fine. ||-//

I listen to nothing but hip hop and rock and I'm old, but this song played randomly one day as i was driving and had to find out the name. 21 Pilots are really good and famous, but this song only has stood out. the drums, the chorus, etc. Plus it made me nostalgic and made me think of all the people I love in my life and how insecure we feel most of the time, we all need good people in our corner. hats off guys, this song is a gem.

This song has such a strong meaning to me. During the worst times of my life, it reminded and sometimes still reminds me that my kind, my people, will be on my side. Not An Assassin I don’t think it’s about being a massive fan it’s about understanding the lyrics if your going by what you hear then sure a lot of them may seem like they suck but if you listen you’ll be amazed maybe it has more to do with your state of mind for me everything they put out is amazing because I can relate to it. I wake up fighting the urge to die and go to bed hoping I get to see another sunrise it’s very difficult to explain.
