I would have been dumbfounded if a triple-a movie studio could make something this realistic a year ago, and now youtube content creaters can make me doubt myself on if 3D animation is real or not. I mean, usually there is some catch to mistakably realistic footage like the old faithful gopro, but it's still crazy impressive how far technology has come.

Man, I remember going to Bon's place when I was young. It was only once, but man was it a awesome birthday! Years Later I heard that it was closed down for some reason, something about a low employe count, or something along those lines. I would ask my mom about it as she was one of the employes, but she never gave me a clear answer. Anyways thanks for finding this footage, its always nice to see an old memory like this once and awhile in my feed.
@JamesGriffin-dg2fb3 ай бұрын
That’s interesting. If you didn’t know, apparently screams were heard inside the place? I don’t know if that’s the exact reason the place closed, but it seems likely. I remember meeting the Walten kids there too! Molly was such a sweet girl, always telling jokes and talking about her parents in the most loving ways. Edd was the same, a real role model for Molly. Sophie, she was cool too, not much of a talker, but me and her were around the same age at the time the place was open, so we managed to share a few laughs. It was super fun! I hope the relocate project goes well!

@whynolann00b7 ай бұрын
Thats not the music name at all lol, it is a song used in the shining but that isn’t the song name. The song is "Midnight, The Stars and You” By Al Bowlly and Ray Noble and his Orchestra, recorded/preformed/released in 1934. Also, *I ALWAYS include the songs I use in the credits in the description of my videos* , a good filmmaker always includes all the works credited used in their work :>/nm/pos

This is really cool, I think the camera could have jostled around a little less though. I know most people who make analog horror have the camera move all over the place and never be steady, but as someone who used to film on an old camcorder all the time as a small child, it’s really not that hard to keep the camera steady. Cameras were blurrier back then but it’s not like people were worse at holding cameras back then, that’s my only gripe with this and it’s really just directed at analog horror as a whole, the video is still very well made and looks very realistic
@whynolann00b8 ай бұрын
Thank you so much!! I like to keep the fx, grains, and colorgrading as realistic as possible, so this is an awesome insight into stuff like this. What type of camera did you use?
@lukestarkiller14708 ай бұрын
@@whynolann00b I can’t remember exactly what it was, but I think it was an old Canon camcorder from either the late 90’s or early 2000’s, but that probably doesn’t narrow it down too much. I was pretty little when I last used it but I think my parents still have it somewhere in their house, I’ll have to ask them about it. But yeah I’m glad you didn’t take offense at my comment, it was really just meant to be constructive criticism. Really if you just tone down the shaking by just a small bit I think it’ll look more realistic, you could always look at actual recordings for reference or even just practice with your phone camera to see how you’d record something similar and then just make it a little bit shakier and blurrier than that. But still I think you’re doing a great job as is
@whynolann00b8 ай бұрын
@lukestarkiller1470 Yeah totes I love constructive criticism!! One other thing, the only thing is that this video is stylized after a commercial 35mm film style camera from the early 70's and the fx are supposed to mimic the effects of tape degradation, which usually does involve the film becoming more degraded and shaky as the effects of oxidation ruin the tape, included with the fact that I decided to export it in a lower quality to make it seem more like older "amateur" digitized footage. In camcorders from the late 90's and early 2000's they had much higher resolution and picture stabilizers, along with better focus and no film, as by then alot of those camcorders used the DVD/Mini DVD-R format which was much higher quality and obviously was digital, so it didn't have the same analog limitations of film/vhs tapes/films converted onto vhs tapes.
@lukestarkiller14708 ай бұрын
@@whynolann00b that’s really cool actually, you’ve clearly done a lot of research, and honestly the more I watch the video the more it all seems to work to me, the first time was just a little hard to follow because of all the movement but watching it again knowing what I’m looking at makes it all work very well. You’ve done a very good job, I’ll definitely subscribe so I can see what you continue to make in the future
