YES! I love Dahyun. (The one laying down.) she’s my favorite in the group, and is a rapper. Sadly, she usually doesn’t get a lot of singing lines, so I’m really happy that she got some lines in this comeback. Also with chaeyoung (the girl with blonde, short hair.) I was scared that her only line was “Fancy, woo!” But NOPE! I’m also really glad that she has more lines now!

What I appreciate so far is how you don’t initially slam the members of the groups’ vocals or straight criticize their tones, voices, etc. but actually try to understand why they are using certain techniques. TWICE is arguably the biggest girl group in Korea, often called "The Nation's Girl Group." They debuted in 2015 with "Ooh Ahh," but grew immensely popular with "Cheer Up" (2016), "TT" (2016) and 'Likey" (2017). They are personally my favorite group and consist of 9 memebers. This song is a slightly different sound for them (more mature/retro), as compared to their past discorgraphy, but still has their distinct style that made them so popular.

finally my baby dahyun is getting some recognition for her tone and vocals! she's always flown under the radar for many fans because she has a unique tone of voice (almost angelic) and she is also considered a rapper so it would be unlikely for her to be seen as a vocalist. i love her voice personally so if she ever did a solo i would be really proud of her for it ee 💕💕

The easiest and most fun way of learning the names and some background info of TWICE members is by watching "an unhelpful guide to TWICE" by twice trash, an introduction video which has over 600k views. It'd would be a joy to watch and very interactive with your viewers if you do a reaction to it which I highly recommend ^^ Btw the girl that belted powerfully towards the end's name is Jihyo. She's the leader and main vocalist of the group, nicknamed Mic or God due to her amazingly powerful vocals. And the girl you said that has a nice tone is Dahyun, she's actually considered one of the weaker vocalists of the group, but she does indeed have a beautiful color to her voice. She's in charge with rap along with Chaeyoung, but I wish she focused more towards her singing over rapping so she her pretty voice can shine more. A bit of advice...stop watching kpop, scrub any song from any of your playlists. You still have time to escape it's insidious clutches. Sadly, i was captured after hearing a song exactly 3 times. At this point I'm looking for a leave kpop support group...none exists.😃😂 Great video and you have an incredible voice. I hope you post some cover songs or original music.

wow i love your vocal analysis! youre so right on the nail about the way twice sings with their cutesy tones! theres something in korean culture called "aegyo" which is basically what young girls and women will do to look cute. It's a noun but also a verb. Things that are considered aegyo by western context would be similar to like a baby voice, but also includes puffing your cheeks, making pouty lips, etc. Honestly when its in kpop songs I love it sooo much. Sadly though, it can be abused. The thing about kpop is most big groups have little to no control over their content unless they're older and are given that artistry credit. TWICE came out in 2015 from the reality survival show SIXTEEN where 16 girls were selected to be the 9 members of TWICE. Reality survival music shows are actually a big thing for asian pop groups! For the most part, TWICE has done cutesy concepts for their title tracks with some minor experimental stuff during a few. Their albums hold a lot of character and diversity vocally and musically and they're one of the few who have had the chance to write songs since the beginning! Here's a list of the members members (oldest to youngest) + positions **(kpop positions are described as basic vocal/rapper/dancer -> lead vocal/rapper/dancer -> main vocal/rapper/dancer)** Nayeon /nigh-yon or nay-yon/: first girl to sing in Fancy. She's considered one of the main vocalists and will sing the choruses or hooks mostly! lead/main vocal Momo: the girl you first commented on the cutesy aegyo voice! She was eliminated on SIXTEEN but was selected for TWICE based on her incredible dance abilities. She raps really well too and has mostly been made to sing in her aegyo voice since she does it so well but lately has used her real singing voice! 1/3 japanese members! main dancer, lead rapper, vocal Jeongyeon /jung-yon/: The girl who sings the chorus part you liked; girl w/ roses in MV. She's another powerhouse vocalist. I love the timbre of her voice!!!! It's soooo distinct to me and I often compare other kpop vocalists to her voice. lead vocal, lead dancer Sana /sah-nuh or almost like sauna/: Cupcake girl! She and Momo are the consistent ones with their aegyo cutesy singing and has also been using her real voice lately. She's an awesome dancer and singer. 2/3 japanese members! lead vocal, lead dancer Jihyo /gee-hyo/: the leader of TWICE! Main vocalist and will most always sing with Nayeon in the chorus but hit the belts. She had the short hair in the MV and gave the belt at the end you liked! She trained for TEN YEARS before making it into TWICE. Her, Jeongyeon, & Nayeon were in another group before SIXTEEN with another girl but sadly the group failed and all 4 competed on the show only for the 3 mentioned to make it. main vocal Mina /me-nuh/: a beautiful angel and my TWICE bias (favorite member). She's the one w/ the sultry vocal fry in the beginning with her long ponytail! She trained for 8 years to be a ballerina before SIXTEEN! But her vocals are so soft and melodic she will often be the one to sing TWICE's bridges (which are a constant 1000% greatness). 3/3 japanese members! lead vocal, lead dancer Dahyun /die-yon or dah-yon/: The platinum blond girl with her hair splayed out, who had the slightly 'raspier' tone in the MV! She's considered the lead rapper but also has been getting lots more singing parts lately! I totally agree with her tone--she sings very beautifully and has another sound I can pinpoint most often in the group! lead/main rapper, vocal, dancer Chaeyoung /chay-yung/: "Fancy. Oh!" she was the second rapper in the MV and did the fancy ooh parts XD. She has such great vocals AND rapping abilities its actually kinda wild when you hear the difference. Her rapping has more aegyo in it compared to her singing. Main/lead rapper, vocal, dancer Tzuyu /chew-ie or zoo-ie/: the girl with the planetary balloons! She's the maknae which is the youngest in a group. She's also from Taiwan! She has the deepest voice of the group imo but her range????? She really hits her falsetto sis. Lead dancer, vocal I may have missed some positions but honestly they spread themselves out well and most of the girls can sing rap and dance all at the same time. I would love to see more TWICE reactions from you!!! You should totally check out their latest album with this title track; FANCY YOU. 4 members got to write lyrics and Charli XCX coproduced one of the songs! If you watched fanmade color coded lyric videos for the songs you could also see which girl sings what part :D and honestly lots of ONCE (twice fanbase) says this is their best album yet and I agree! They really switched up their format for us and theres tons more rap, tons more singing from less featured vocalists, and the fact that they got to write 4 songs??? YAS. Maybe that could lead into a Twice throwback marathon starting from their debut all theway back here? XDD I hope this comment provided some info! Thanks for the reaction!
