In terms of a lack of overnight stays, I think they did do something like that for one of their new year TTTs. As for why they don't do them for the "Healing " series, I suspect it is to do with logistics. Those are generally shot at locations further away from Seoul, typically at holiday spots. Having the series span overnight would require the crew to also stay the night as well; which would make it that much more expensive. It also means the girls and crew having to put in that many more work hours and have less rest, if the series films through the day, into the night, and then into the next day.

Regarding Dahyun's absence, I think she had commented that she hadn't been feeling well on the day it was filmed and so decided to sit the series out and properly rest instead.
