Actually I wish Jeongyeon, Dahyun and Mina have a sub unit with a song that show more of their vocal skills. I feel like Jeongyeon and Mina has so muuuch potential and they always had the rest that isn't given to Nayeon or Jihyo. This way they would evolve vocally too. And Dahyun is ranked as one of the bottom singers on twice, but her voice is quite pretty and she is so smart musically, she has a lot of potential em writing songs/singing :(

I think Tzuyu is getting a LOT of attention since Likey, so she's doing good. And Sana always had the killing parts and a good amount of lines in twice's albums, like Nayeon and Jihyo also have. But these 5 (Chaeyoung, Momo, Jeongyeon, Mina and Dahyun are really underrated and I wish they had more oportunities to show their talent in different areas)

A blue and slightly depressed dog most of the time jeongyeon only sings some difficult parts or Jihyo's part when she's doing adlib. This chorus was supposed to be the catchiest part of this song so JYP would give it to Sana since her voice fits catchy part. I agree though Jeongyeon's talent is always wasted.

A blue and slightly depressed dog because tzuyus voice fits the chorus best according to the producers, it's their song they know who would work best for which part, it would sound way different if jeonghan's or jihyo did it. Jeongyeon while being a lead vocal, has a more mature voice that doesn't fit with twices songs unfortunately, it's like Camila and Lauren in 5h they was far from the best vocalist, ally and dianha are the best but she and Lauren got the most lines because they fit the songs the best.

i know how u feel but in the current industry, lead vocalist no longer have the main role to sing the most important part of their song, the chorus. it is because of how the producer thinks which is more profitable and i believe its not wrong to think that way cos if we want to see more from Twice and continue their popularity then this is the best track they setup to gain it. we do all know that specially Sana and Tzuyu can attract more fans, it is proved in their previous songs that's why they continue this setup. We just have to support Twice if we want them to stay in the industry where if the artist/group is profitable then u can continue your career as long as u want.

In this case, the distribution is misleading because the line distribution gave the whole ending to Nayeon. But the ending is kinda everyone's. Both the mv and live performances don't have Nayeon in the center or always on screen, and she doesn't sing that part live. So this song doesn't favor Nayeon at all. And I'm a person who recognizes that Nayeon gets favored for getting a lot of lines in most songs.

Of course Jeongyeon wasn’t going to have more lines. They always do dirty by her. She’ll probably never get the lines she deserves or a significant chorus part where Jihyo isn’t ad-libbing or singing a high note over it. At this point it’s just best for us not to get our hopes up, even if IMO she is the strongest, most consistent and most stable vocalist in the group.

I notice that the top three popular members: Sana Tzuyu and Nayeon been getting a little bit more lines than what their vocal talent suggest. Am I just being salty? I am not sure myself.. Tbf though, SANA MUST KEEP SINGING THE CHORUS, it is an important element to every Twice song. And dont get me wrong, Nayeon is second or third best in singing for Twice

TWBPG7 ./ Nayeon is still one of the most popular member in Korea though. I mean the 'vocal victim' is always the less popular member. Then again, it is part of the business to give the more popular members more lines to make the song much more well-received by the public. The lines in What is Love fits every single members' vocal so besides Mina's line being too short, it is in my opinion a great mv regardless

It is a little bit sensible that Mina got a lot of lines in previous comebacks due to her distinct and smooth vocal, but I also think that Tzuyu has been getting more lines recently mostly due to her being a godlike visual rather than being an outstanding singer. I do agree that Nayeon should share her lines to other members. She normally gets quite the difficult part of the song and still do it well but I believe jeongyeon is good enough to replicate the same quality of vocal. Sana MUST do the chorus cuz she is simply a cut above the rest (too good) when it comes to making the chorus trendy. Other than chorus, not really a big fan of. Sorry for long reply, I am still new to Twice.... I want to reflect on what I have learnt from analysing Twice as a whole

...but they don't base it on who is most "vocally talented". They simply just don't care. The general public listening to the song really don't care. They choose the voices which they think fit best. It seems they really like Nayeon's, Jihyo's (I dunno why ya'll are complaining about Jihyo she literally got second most, it's just Nayeon got the adlibs at the end), Tzuyu's, and Sana's voices for this song, and many others. But Sometimes they will also give jeongyeon or mina the chorus. It probably just depends who THEY think fits the song (not YOU. THEM. As in the people at the company who determine who gets what lines.) It also helps that they are very popular. So putting them in the center during the chorus helps to appease fans who really like them and the general public who may only know them.
