I truly think this is a lesson to haters and sasaengs. The Jihyo lines " I don't need your love" and " don't make me hate you." The Mina lyrics " My punishment for embarrassing my dream". And all the fans behind the mask could represent all the faceless online "fans". All the chaos happening around them representing fandom wars, hate, industry chaos. I feel like Perfect World is built to be dark and it's connected to their status as Idols? Like the amount of admiration they're getting is causing chaos, and their privacy is being invaded, but the show must go on. They have to maintain their "idol" image until the applause from the audience. But then, we see Mina with her miniature theater cutouts, as if she's the puppeteer. It's like Twice reminding us that they are still in control despite the drama and the chaos, hence the lines "Get out, Get Lost." It's like Twice has to set a "Perfect World" for us, but in reality their lives as idols can get ugly at some point because of sasaengs, creepy fans, and the invasive media. That's why this MV feels so dark and twisted. This is definitely a clapback.

@Grammarly yeah it radiates the same dark vibes but very different in Musical Construction, I think this song is more playful to re-enact the "THEATER" experience, it's literally like watching a performance in a Theater with the music alone, plus the music video, coz Cry for me doesn't have one HAHAHA Cry for me is left in our imaginations.

For those wondering the meaning behind the song, it’s not exactly them singing about a toxic relationship with an ex. Most of the Japanese songs they release is all about Once and Thrice(the haters). This song is about how the haters can’t stop them and the people with the mask in the video represents Thrice hiding behind a mask(twice gets quite a lot of hate through online) you can see it in the lyrics how they basically telling me that they can’t hurt them, to get out get lost Their other Japanese song Better is about Once and how Once makes them feel loved and better despite Thrice trying to bring them down, think of it like the song Feel Special which was the song of how the members are there for each other, Better is about how Once also there for them. Breakthrough was about Twice breaking through all the obstacles, struggles and hate they’ve face as idols and a group

Stage is the Perfect World! Love is staged.. Its perfect in front of everyone but its destructive behind all of it! Everyone is masked with awe of the staged relationships of people and they are unaware of the reality! Kura Kura is about different kind of relationships & Perfect World is a dig at how seamless the staged love seems but its destructive! Its just my opinion!

For those of you that are saying the audio suddenly goes down (1:41), you might wanna use earphones to actually hear the 8d effect of the music. It is where the sound is manipulated to produce a three-dimensional effect. It's awesome guys, Twice is.. I think one of the few (LITERALLY FEW) artists to use this effect. Might as well spread this information to encourage other people to listen to it!
