Discarding an action card to stall is already strong but getting a free mech too is crazy.

Hey there! Finally won my first game of TI with this faction and your thoughts and advice were a great help! I only realized during this game how powerful and well rounded this faction is. They really have a lot of powerful perks with only little downsides to them. Having this many action cards in my hand opened up so many options that made it completely impossible for my enemies to predict my next move. And being able to EFFORTLESSLY stall every round so that I could just do my thing with everyone else only being able to watch almost felt a little unfair. You don't even need to think about how you lay down the best strategy for researching techs because their faction techs don't require any odd detours to get. You just stay in green and get everything you need and it synergizes really well. I'm not qualified to judge of they are a top tier faction but it is at least very straightforward and easy to understand how to play them and this already helps a lot in such a complex game. Fantastic faction. Now that I know what they can do, I hope that nobody will pick them in a future game against me. :D

"Clever Ssruu use stall tactics to win the game!" This was the first faction that I won a game as, pre-Prophecy of Kings. They are one of my favorite factions, probably tied - if not slightly ahead - of Xxcha. I still don't know how I managed it, but that first game as the little green men, I wound up with 4 of the other 5 players support for the thrones! This is the faction that made the green tech tree one of my favorites (I know it's probably the weakest tech path overall, but I love action cards, and neural motivator is just a pet-favorite tech of mine). Due to my trying to play every faction at least once, I have yet to replay any factions, but the Yssaril are certainly top of my list! (The leaders in this faction are right up my alley!) Great review Ethan! The one tech I'm surprised you didn't mention was Psychoarchaeology. If you have a tech skip planet, especially if it's not green, you get the extra green needed for Mageon Implants, while actually being able to research unit upgrades or blue tech. I used to sleep on Psychoarchaeology, until it skipped a total of 4 techs for me in my Muaat win.

Yssaril Tribes in 3rd edition were so strong I found many people banning them in games. Not as strong today, but still fantastic and one of my favorites.

Great content! Going to play them this saturday in a 7 player game. I was compelled to leave a comment, because of you microphone mention. A better microphone is half of the task. Try to normalize your audio mix, because the cuts are noticable. At 0:38 i almost lost my composure with the volume change xD Another suggestions is adding some eq and/or compression, to make the s-sounds and following distortion less jarring.

Can you describe how the The Yssaril agent can interact with the Mahact agent?

How exactly does the Vul’Wraith Cabal agent work when you use it? Do you take the ship or do you do play that agent on behalf of the Cabal player and give them the ship?
