I bought my one and only booster box and I feel like I got lucky. I even pulled my chase card the blood moon ursaluna! I was jumping around happy😂 6 exs 2 ultra rares 2 ace spec 1 gold 3 illustration rare 1 special illustration rare.

This set is actually dope. So many people complain about this one, I wonder how they’d feel opening Sun and Moon base set, where you get 6-7 hits per box.

Exactly. The only difference is now if you get one of those crazy hits, one of your seven in the box would be something worth almost $200.

@@chrispytcg SM Base has not aged well. I think the overprinting of Promos and just the general lack of appeal of rainbow rares has tampered its potential. FA Lilly is the priciest card and only goes for $50 roughly unless you get a 10

@@ethankibbey1976 i mostly agree. We’re still in a golden age of Pokemon cards, with all these amazing illustration rares. We get around 15 hits (if memory serves) per box, as opposed to 7 from Sun and Moon. The only failing about scarlet and violet is that a lot of the new pokemon designs are mid at best. But imo the awesome art makes up for it. Not trying to hate on Sun and Moon, those sets were great too. Just a very different opening experience.

It’s pre-release weekend. We get a pre-release kit donated to our channel. Every new set that comes out which is a building Battle case containing 10 building battle kits and a booster box every store that holds pre-events gets these in.

I do get pretty high sometimes though, but only for the cards that I get super excited about pulling like Big alternate arts or my chase cards primarily. I try not to blow people to hear that if I can avoid it.😄

Yes, the art rares in this set are stunning and what’s crazy is when you look at them in person they pop more than some of the other sets so I don’t know if they change the way they’re doing the color saturation, but there’s just something about them to set it looks slightly different than some of the last that we have gotten

I really am agreeing with those hits you want. Myself, I’m looking for that Perrin combo and the Carmine SIR with Kieran at the festival. As for the Ogerpon…the regular SR’s are where it’s at. They tried to recreate the crystal charizard look….maybe if it those card were zoomed out they would look better. Something where you can see the detail of the masks. As for the IR’s I really like the Frosslass and the full art Luxray.

Thanks Chris, I appreciate that you add the perspective of a TCG player. Agree with you on Miraidon, Dragapult means there should be fewer zards out there, which means Miraidon should be way more effective. Also, I'm thinking future hands could be effective again as the matchup against Zard feels like an auto loss. Anyway, sorry for rambling, keep up the great work!!!
