If they showed more backstories in the movies they would've been so much better

In the books it was much better explained. Like Alec's power was slower to reach its target, but he could affect multiple people or vampires at once. Also it was invisible not black smoke, but hey the movies. Jane's power was instantaneous, but she could only affect one at a time.

0:41 the smoke is clear they only made it black for the movie so people can see it was actually clear is very hard to see Bella was very lucky to actually see the very faint hazy looking cloud that was coming that was only because Edward told her it creeps

When I read the Twilight books I definitely found all the vampire backstories interesting. The author definitely made 3-dimensional characters with believable motivations based on their backstories. I love how in that world some humans are born with varying types & strengths of psychic gifts, then how those gifts evolve if that person is turned into a vampire. It's mysterious but confirmed by Carlisle's research that the extra chromosomes carried by the vampires & the shapeshifters cause changes that don't just "level up" the physical strength but also the mental abilities & so the person's psychological state can affect it too. It would be quite interesting if she wrote a sequel where they find the origin of those extra chromosomes & how they got fused with some humans.

13, I thought they were 14. They seem to b the only ones with powers that has a connection to when they received them (e.g. earlier seasons of Smallville, and some metahumans from The Flash). Jane obviously wants the world to feel her pain from the *worst* day of her life. Willing to bet that she could, maybe, make people feel any other emotions, like joy, greif, hate, love, whatever; but only knows the same kind of pain when being burned. I've said before that Twilight and Beautiful Creature must b in the same universe cause of similar cgi graphics, adding Warm Bodies to the mix.

I see Jane and Alec as being the children of Aro and Sulpicia and therefore part of the coven rather than the guard.

I would actually love to see a movie about like Jane and Alec, one of Marcus, his wife and Aro, I realize it would be a lot of movies but if you put 2 or 4 characters in one movie it might not be so bad., and it could actually be very interesting, I know I would love it

I dont understand why Jane used her power against Felix, one of her own. I see her as arrogant as hell. I can feel bad for their childhood, but I do not like her.

Just to add , i believe Aro , and Caius are lovers ❣️, they would be the only two who could be able to understand each other, sjnce Caius is so much older, but Aro able to gain so much knowledge with a single touch. There couldn't be another for whom to accompany eternity with, and to share such malevolence without question. They are truly inhumane even by vampire standards, closer to deamons, of fallen angels. Power is all they value.
