I think they were probably thrilled that it was one of each, but it comes off as being excited more over the boy. Like I think they would have seemed more excited for the girl cake if the boy cake would have been first. People were probably excited and happy for them for having one of each, but it just comes off unintentionally to some people as favoring the boy one.

KFras we had twins but we didn't want to know the sex of them until they were born. My family already had grandsons but tbh we didn't care what we had as long as they were healthy. They probably seemed less excited because the parents could be parents to all girls already so they probably weren’t expecting the boy all that much until they actually cut in the boy cake since most sets of twins that are fraternal twins are rare. They were probably just excited for a boy and a girl twin set since they would already know how to parent a girl,a baby boy would give them a new set of parental skills to look forward to. That family might not have original had a boy yet until the twins came along since you can hear everyone in the background saying it’s gonna be a boy let it be a boy then they cut the cake and it’s a boy. That family could have more girls in it for all anyone knows while adding it’s first boy sibling into the mix.
