I was on this concert, TWENTY back in 2006. This song was performed after almost an hour. The most amazing thought was she was able to still perform this iconic song in a powerful vocal sitting on the floor after singing almost a complete repertoire of high note songs... Proving that her vocal power, her range, and her performance in singing is magical! A standing ovation. All of us audience were stunned and some were on tears because of her emotional rendition. It was such an honor to hear her sing live on stage during that time. I felt blessed. ❤️

Im so lucky that i was able to attend regine's concert for so many times most specially on her prime years. Believe me guys the volume of her voice is like a whole mountain that will destroy the roof of a concert venue. She is not only singing but telling a story through music. Watching her singing in flesh is an experience of a lifetime. Filipino audience is very hard to please and very rare to give standing ovation. But Regine, can easily touch Filipino's heart...

i remember this concert, it was the second night of the two night concert, and i was there. for those who dont know she was not feeling well here but her voice never failed her..standing ovation after the performance.

Just a little background on Regine. She is the Diva of all divas, and the Queen of queens in Philippine music. She popularized belting in the country and have influenced perhaps every other singer we have in the last 25 years (that is why belting is such a big thing here). She is THE biggest selling artist in the Philippines. A master storyteller with a soaring voice. Acclaimed throughout Asia, she has collaborated with numerous international artists like Michel Legrand, Mandy Moore, Brian McKnight, Peabo Bryson, Alicia Keys, and more. To our amazement, her most glorious career performances were actually 10-20 years into her career, which most consider to be her prime years. That’s a pretty late and long peak for an artist if you ask me. Hit after hit, pioneering and revolutionary concert spectacles, blockbuster movies, and tours both here and abroad. For a very long time, she’s the only one who can manage to stage major concerts in large arenas for 2-3 consecutive nights, causing major traffic in Metro Manila (this is not an exaggeration at all. This is history 😂). Not many artists today can take on that feat, let alone sell-out an arena. Another thing that’s nice to note, is that in almost every major concert she does, for some reason, she is always sick. Yet she delivered some of her best performances in those concerts (you will soon discover it as you go along reacting to the Queen). Fun fact: even when she’s sick, with no speaking voice at all, she can still sing and belt like crazy. Idk how she makes that happen! 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 The only time she ever cancelled a concert was on her 25th Anniversary concert where she totally lost her voice (a first for her. I recall her saying her hands can fail her, her feet can fail her, but never her voice). That was a shock to many. But it wasn’t even a cancellation. She still pushed through with the concert but stopped halfway through, and promised a re-staging for free (for ticket holders). **she still does 2-3 consecutive nights for her major concerts. 😬 For the last 10 years, we’ve seen her get married, have a child, and see her vocal capabilities wane a bit due to her age (50) and she has also been dealing with severe acid reflux (which is why we oftentimes now hear this huskiness/raspiness in her voice, that’s rather in contrast to her once crystal clear, pristine tone). But one thing remains: her extreme vocal power. Literal volume. Thick and strong. Feels like a V8 engine. Haha I have seen her live twice before, and her lung power is just out of this world! 🙌🏻 We all know there are many new artists now that are also so gifted with a belting voice, but Regine can still swallow them whole on a good day. They’re great, but not any one of them can deliver perfectly while covering Regine’s iconic songs, especially if they’re singing with Regine herself. Not even Morissette and others. They always falter here and there, perhaps maybe due to intimidation and/or reverence. That’s the effect Regine has on singers that even dare to try singing with her live. In both vocal capacity and commercial success, she was, and still is unparalleled to this day.👌🏻 Now please react to her Piece of Sky performance (in a pink gown), Sometime, Somewhere (in a light green gown), Say That You Love Me (pink gown), Love Story: Where Do I Begin (red gown), Light of A Million Mornings (beige/nude gown), etc. Those are just some of the greatest performances in her career. 😬❤️

This was on her second night of the concert and if you will listen to the rest of this show she already had a hoarse voice especially when she's speaking. But once she sings it's as if she has a spare throat which is devoid of hoarseness! Truly a gifted Queen!!

All of her best performances are songs that she can fully relate where she can evoke emotion. Piece of sky is a dedication to his father, her mentor and her trainer. And when her father was alive he would watch all her performances. SO when she sings "Papa watch me fly", she would looking straight to his father into the crowd of audience.What kind of fool is one also personal for her. She fore go the idea of a relationship for a very long long time, because she prioritize being a bread winner for her family. She married late & she had a kid late as well.
