We've shot with Alex twice before but this Chevelle he brought over is completely insane! Twin turbo Duramax diesel in a 70 Chevelle making 1100 ft lbs of torque could possibly break things and it did during this shoot...

Insane sound! If he can get a rear diff to handle the torque (and hopefully a driveshaft loop) it'd be a blast to see 0-60 and 1/4m results.

there is a silver 70 Chevelle that runs drag week and Rocky mountain race week and has been doing so for years That has the same exact swamp.

This is such an iconic car with black and white racing stripes! The stock interior is a nice touch. I'm so glad he didn't change it. The diesel engine just makes it one of a kind. A different but awesome car all around!!

What a Surper Sleeper, the only give away is the black smoke, I could see you pined in the seat when he went full throttle, 90 mph at 1800 rpm at 33 mpg, and looks like a Show Car. The Fiesta Flash.

Reminds me of Rick Fleete’s Duramax 70 Chevelle. Used to tow his camper to the track and sleep in that, then tow it home at the end of the weekend. Pretty funny to see the race car towing the camper then running 9s

Very Cool. I get that torque. One of my closest friends is building a 49-51(forget the exact year) Mercury truck. It is on a Modern F250 chassis. one of the fastest vehicles I have been in.

Wow that’s cool. I have seen a duramax Camaro tho and a Cummins charger. All late model stuff like 2012s or something. But still so cool. What I want to see is a new duramax with a manual in it. Like a 2023 gmc 1 ton crew cab long box with a factory looking manual in it.

21:26 - my first thought was the U-joint blew but you can see it sheared the pinion shaft right in half. U-joint actually held, wow.

Wish you guys would have it on this things towing possibilities. My LBZ tows 17k pounds when I take everything with me. I’m guessing some load helper type air bags over an HD axle and you’d have yet another role that this thing can fill. Super practical and would even make an argument as a legit family car…..Especially in the chevelle wagon

I owned a 2016 BMW 535D deleted and tuned and it was epic fast. 400 HP and 600 torque. You can imagine this is amazing. Diesels are the most exhilarating fun in the world.

That much torque down low will only continue to snap rear ends. That’s why nobody does turbo diesels in performance cars. But super novel and wish him the best

I built a stroker for torque for my mustang and big mistake! I was breaking tons of stock parts, i could roll out of second and break the tires free. In hindsight i would have built motor for HP so that i could get traction torque comes with HP and on a street car i didn’t need gobs of torque below 3500rpm. But very cool build

My 9k 07 LBZ 2500 scoots pretty good leveled on larger wheels and tires. Cannot imagine a tuned motor in a much lighter vehicle. Outrageous. Don’t sell that thing.

I’ve always been a die-hard muscle car guy and for the past 20 years or so I’ve become a bigger and bigger fan of turbo diesel power. I agree it’s sadly still underrated. This absolutely perfect build stares that right in the face and says ‘yeah I am, and so the fuck what???’ LOVE IT!!!
