Doval has been making the 9th inning a nail biter when it does not need to be one too many times. He's a CLOSER, getting runners on and blowing leads, I'm sure, is not written anywhere within that job description, lol. We all want to see our Giants win and do good, but there's times when you gotta cut ends. Either that or get him off the closer roll for a while. In my opinion, Tyler Rodgers is way more consistent. It's not like this is his first or second time blowing the lead. He has been habitual with it to the point where the Giants need to stop overlooking it.

Or a risky signing like Melancon or having to shop heavily like our FO has been doing last few years, to little avail. We already tried Ty Rogers in the closing role and he sucked. Fans were flaming him even harder than Doval. Sometimes the play is to be patient and wait for players to snap out of it. In a 162 you have to. If this was our running back fumbling every week while we chase a super bowl, yeah you’d get rid of that guy. That’s not what’s happening yet. Did you think of all these things?

I was laughed at last year when I said Doval was overrated and he wasn't as good as people thought because he was still an "all star." Doval has either gotta go or leave the closer role. We can't trust him to shut the game down
