Yep! My grandfather is from Mississippi. He moved to St. Louis in the 1940s with my grandmother, so we all (my dad, his siblings and all of my first cousins) live here. My grandfather's brother moved to Chicago around the same time and all of his offspring are still there. My grandmother's brother moved to Detroit during the same period, so that's where all of his offspring are.

The reason a lot of peor sound like they're from the South is bc a few generations ago, a bunch of Black people left the deep South and moved North. Chicago was one of those places and they kept a lot of their connections, including some of that drawl. Anyway, the song is still 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and this was a great reaction!

Word! I'm from Milwaukee, which is like 1 1/2 from Chicago and whenever, I go there, I can hear the various types of southern, accents all in one place. The only difference is that they have a Chicago, "twist" to them. Some of us from Milwaukee, have southern, accents but not as diverse as Chicago. Anyhow, the Midwest got love from the south, since our elders were from there.

In fact Kanye West has said that RZA was a direct influence on his production style. West has said "Wu-Tang? Me and my friends talk about this all the time... We think Wu-Tang had one of the biggest impacts as far as a movement. From slang to style of dress, skits, the samples. Similar to the [production] style I use, RZA has been doing that."
