I’ve also always wondered, do you make these up, like a chef does with recipes, or did you too learn them from someone or somewhere or some book even? If I had to guess, probably a bit of both.

Aww thank you! Yes a bit of both. Most of my tutorials come from the Portuguese bow makers, and some I make myself.

Thanks. 💕 In my newer videos I try to remember to use inches as well as centimetres. The metric system is the most commonly used worldwide and more what I’m used to, but seems the US uses the imperial system.

This is gorgeous!! How would you change the sizes for a 3” (7.5 cm) ribbon instead of 1.5” (4cm)?

Thanks! I’ve never tried one in 3” ribbon, that would be huge! A boutique bow in 3” would be around 75cm / 29.5” of ribbon . I’m not sure on the other 2 pieces. Maybe try 37cm and 45cm? I’m not totally sure on those measurements though.

Yes, although I’ve not tried it personally, but if you use the all purpose adhesive, (hot glue would make it too bulky/stiff to get a nice pinch in the centre), I should think it is doable. 😊

Good Day. I am from South Africa and also making bows, however struggling to get pretty ribbon. Would like to know where I could get awesome ribbon as well as faux leather including the glitter ones. We only have the sponge type glitter which is far to thick to my liking. Could you possibly guide me or assist. Thank you

The ribbon measurements come up on the screen during the first part of the video. I would pause the video whilst cutting the ribbon, or take a screenshot, then the finished bow is 5”. I hope that helps 💕

Around £4.75-£6. Depending on how long it takes you to make and how much you pay for your ribbon, so you cover your time and materials 😊

That’s odd. It shouldn’t. Maybe save the video under ‘watch later’, shut down KZfaq and restart.

Most places around the world use metric measurements, so this was the easiest method for me. You can google the measurements to translate. In my newer videos, I do now say both centremetres and inches. 🙂
