This song inspires me to give up my addiction to cocaine. In the end its all a choice. I ultimately have to "lose" to win in the end because it's my life. Pray for me and I hope anyone who struggles with any kind of mental, addictive/ alcoholic, spiritual quarrels seeks help and find the motivation within themselves to get back to normal. Again, everything is a choice. Edit: as of June 27 2020 I now have 40 days clean off of everything. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Jan 2021 8 months clean. Even gave up nicotine

*Lyrics* 🎵 How long I have wanted This dream to come true And as it approaches I can't believe I'm through I've tried, Oh, how I've tried For a life, yes a life I thought I knew Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Time seems to have frozen But the mind can be fooled As the days pass I discover Destiny just can't be ruled Hard times, Oh hard times, For the prize, yes the prize, I thought I knew Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done

I lost my father at the start of this year, just 2 days before my birthday. It broke my fucking heart. My father was always a huge twisted sister fan, collected vinyls had many band tees and various other items TS related. The day of my fathers funeral was difficult, but when everyone walked into the funeral, Twisted sister - the price was playing over the speakers as requested by other family members. every time i hear this song, it brings so many tears to my eyes and so many memories and for that i just want to thank dee and twisted sister. You know, listening to 80s metal always takes me back, to hot girls, cars, partying and living life. Things were different back then,we still had to worry about being nuked but none of the crap going on now days. Cell phones, and social media were years away thankfully.we had a lot of fun my friends and I. I really miss that.

Life is way too complicated these days: too much technology, social justice crap, people not knowing what their gender is, extreme political corruption, bullshit pandemics in order to for the global oligarchies and technocracies to manipulate world economies, , kids gets brainwashed early into thinking they have to do something about the horseshit social ill's of society right fucking now instead of letting them grow up first and enjoy life as a child.

Heard this with my boys last night and it was so surreal. My dad introduced this to me when I was a little boy of 6-7 years of age. 27 years old now . When I hear this song I just feel like crying and just letting out so many emotions… life has been so hard recently for me especially so last night we all just embraced such a beautiful song together. Thank you dad for showing me this. It feels almost like I was healing from all the pain I’ve been enduring. And seeing all these comments of other stories and people that feel connected to this Just melts my heart Rock on brothers 🤘🏼

I love 80's music, it's got so much heart and soul. Today's music sucks because it's so fake and just about swag and ghetto bullshit. Or it's wimpy whiny music. Point is, fuck today's music, long live the 80's. (Btw I'm not an old coot, I'm actually in my early 20's and I just love the 80's. It's just so magical and everything was so awesome. :) )

Lyrics: How long I have wanted This dream to come true And as it approaches I can't believe I'm through I've tried, Oh, how I've tried For a life, yes a life I thought I knew Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Time seems to have frozen But the mind can be fooled As the days pass I discover Destiny just can't be ruled Hard times, Oh hard times, For the prize, yes the prize, I thought I knew Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done Oh it's the price we gotta pay And all the games we gotta play Makes me wonder if it's worth it to carry on 'Cause it's a game we gotta lose, Though it's a life we gotta choose And the price is our own life until it's done

Michaelpony 2016, the "Forty and Fuck It" Tour. I think that's pretty much the only detail about it this far. Lots of bands have a farewell tour, and then keep on touring while declaring that THIS TIME they're totally out "For Realz", But I want to believe that Dee and the rest of Twisted Sister have the integrity to not jerk us around like that. A.J.'s untimely demise lends credence to the claim, but even that's not a guarantee. Apparently Queen still tours, and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who disagreed with the claim that Freddie was the heart and soul of that group. Of course, this could also just mean they're retiring the band name. I've been told they already sidelined the costumes and makeup, I wouldn't hold it against them if they decided to keep it casual and start OFFICIALLY touring as Bent Brother.
