Lovely vase and finish the only thing that I would do to it , I would turn a 5 mm wide rim on bottom,,and turn a domed center about 3 mm deep in the center

When did you realize you glued the second half on wrong? It’s amazing and u can hardly tell but as a turner it would drive me crazy

For the second part, it can be done like with the tail stock having to stick firmly in the wood

Good work. I love watching this stuff, it is good craftsmanship. I often wonder what the most unique thing an artist could make on the lathe. Something odd and artistic that ISN'T a vase, bowl, or globe. This is cool stuff too though. Keep it up!

What type of wood glue do you use? I am always afraid of my glued project coming apart on my lathe

I use aliphatic wood glue that is water and solvent repellent, if the glue is perfect it won't break
