😂 I'm one of those "crazy mfkas". I work for a news station out of Oklahoma City as a professional Storm Chaser. I'm actually in the film as one of the chasers that is cheering "if you feel it, chase it"! Look for the dude in the camo Pancho and green backwards hat standing behind the red Dodge. Trust me gentlemen, this film is going to be one hell of a ride! 🌪 🛻 🎥

That’s crazy!! I met one of the grad students at the University of Oklahoma at the AMS meeting this year that actually drove a car that took some footage for this movie!! It’s my dream to work for the NSSL in tornado research - and I’m hoping for a spot at the University of Oklahoma’s REU this summer!!

Also, I always loved Bill Paxton as an actor and its a shame his career was never bigger after Twister and Titanic. Easily one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood and I still miss him to this day.

Just so everyone knows - almost all the tornados in this movie were actually filmed by a famous chaser for use in this movie. So except for some CG touch ups and to add damage etc. all the tornado scenes are the real deal basically.

As someone who lived in Wright, Wyoming back in the mid 80s when I first saw two tornadoes forming just in town limits. The town of Wright had and still has a Rec-Center with a lower floor/basement to go to for safety. I remember driving to it with my parents and sister, hearing the air siren and watching them form just before they touched down is a memory I hope I never forget

When I saw this in the theater back in the day, an usher in the theater made a statement in front of the screen before the start of the film, I’ll never forget: “..this movie is made with a new sound technology called THX…if you have any small children with you, this may a bit much and might want to consider if they can handle and even taking them out of the theater…” I looked at my friends, that’s when we knew the our friends birthday party we had at the theater was going to be an unforgettable movie experience. Seen it hundred times with more friends and family since. Say what you want…but it’s a classic, tho…some true 90’s pup culture shit. ..years later, I’ll DEF be in the theater for Twisters 🌪🌪

No.2 movie of 1996, first film ever to be available on DVD and inspiring stormchasers everywhere. A phenomenon to say the least. The late Bill Paxton wanted to make a sequel to Twister. In fact, he wanted to produce and/or direct a film with all the trimmings of a big-budget feature as it would be presented in premium formats (3D, IMAX, etc). Sadly he never got the chance. But this standalone sequel is pretty close to Paxton's dream. Re-integrating the storytelling of the original with the best effects, camerawork and stuntwork possible. It does look pretty good. I'm sure we'll get plenty of nods the 1996 original.

It would be an awesome experience watching this movie at the Warren Theatre in Moore. This Theatre was hit by an EF-5 tornado in May 20th 2013

Remember back in the olden times of regular tv, when there would be a free weekend of a premium movie channel? Friday-Sunday free HBO or Stars? That's how I saw Twister for the first time, and you best believe mom had the vcr on a schedule to record all the movies.

Yes my bday month is July 7th and ill be 36 :) i get to see both films i saw Twister in theaters on opening night and a hellish storm microburst is what we had the whole rest of the night here in Arizona in 1996 it was hail heavy thunder and lightning and rain the whole night with the power still on surprisingly what a memory for me :)

love your reviews but there's a zero percent chance I would even watch this ever. Like the first Twister I saw in a theatre. it was fine. We have entered the age where studio VPs are asking "what cheesy movies have the most views?". Zoolander 3 will save us.
