IIRC, that was the original concept for the Looking Glass Knight. He would have summoned your own character from the mirror... you know, because it's a mirror. I think it's mentioned somewhere in the Design Works.

i was like that when i first started, but dark souls teaches you to face your fears. Its easy to forget but getting invaded in dark souls when you first start out is genuinely terrifying.

I really don't understand that mindset, when i get invaded when i started i was like "Well, probably gonna get killed, but i can try to defend myself" instead of just waiting

As I understand it the invader is using the same character name as the streamer. So unless the invader created and leveled a new character specifically for this invasion then yes, it's a hacker.

No he got tons of hp but playing dumb so it is actually easy win, when he is walking you can kite him with a crossbow / bow it is way more ok than attacking noob and try harding to point them down imo, he got killed by a noob btw, alt f4 always been really pussy moves in souls game tbh, if you're getting gank by 4 over leveled trash just go back in your world, just don't alt f4 except on toxic cheater trying to ban you

I've always treated invasions like a miniboss. One time in DS3, one of the first times I was invaded, I was at the 2nd map, after vordt, and every time I would pass the arches that led to the 2nd bonfire, where there is a giant undead with a 2 handled cleaver thing, the same guy would invade me. And every time I ran back because I had gone through all the enemies and lost all my health and didn't want to lose my souls. So I would go back to the first bonfire and re work my way through to the next bonfire, and I would keep doing it until eventually I had enough health to feel confident in fighting him. Then I finally did, and it was a close battle, and I won and it felt like such an amazing gamer experience. That invasion really added onto my playthrough in a positive way, and since then I have loved invasions and the possibility

@@ronnie9379 That's Hodrick. He's an NPC, but even still, I'm glad that he got you into PvP. A lot of people view PvP as a deal breaker for this game, which sucks because it really does add to the experience, as well as the replay ability.
