@@MyFriendlyPup Nobody cares, there is no exemption that somehow absolves you of your responsibility to drive your vehicle safely because of your job hours and commute. Pull over for a 15 minute nap, it does wonders.

Please be careful buddy. Once you reach this stage of exhaustion, there is no way you can stay awake. Please pull over the next time. It is amazing what a 15 minute nap can do to rejuvenate you

The problem is not if you can drive while getting asleep the reason you must pull over is because the deep sleep comes instatly and you can't stop it as soon as you start doing those signs better stop inmediatly or in 20 secs you could be already sleeping with out evne noticing and next thing you know you crashed against a tree or even worst

I’ve fallen asleep two times for a few seconds behind the wheel.. scariest stuff of my life, if I feel drowsy I pull into a rest stop or corner store now

I fell asleep 1 time ever while driving and I ended up in the grass right off the highway just inches from the tree line, one more foot and me and my friend would probably not be here anymore. Get rest people and don't drive while tired.

I lostvm a cousin when I was young, and a best friend just a couple months ago... Both this way. Falling asleep at the wheel can kill you, no matter how good a driver you are, nor how impervious you think you are to death. Always pull over and take a power nap if you feel yourself trying to nod off. As tragic the losses of both my cousin and friend were, the good news was that they crashed and died alone, without harming anybody else. People nod off and cross into the incoming lane too sometimes, so the risk of life isn't just your own. RIP Edward and Paul. Both great men, taken too soon

@lottidhundabolt4259 I almost fell asleep when going through the exit. You know when there's a corner Edge and doesn't open to go the exit ramp. I almost hit the corner at a diagonal. Another time I almost fell asleep as I was driving home and I almost went down one of those over crosses that don't have a barricad before you actually go on the overcross but I almost went off the road and almost down the hill to the highway below.

This is me heading to and from work everyday. 55+ hours is as far as I will go.

Even if you think you can make it, your reactions are significantly delayed, and treacherous random, uncontrollable episodes of microsleep set in, rendering you unconscious for a second or two during which many things can happen. It is better to find a parking spot ASAP, get a short nap, and do physical activity before starting the engine.

I was once tired, at a stoplight, and I wondered if I could sleep with one eye open. That's how I discovered I had a cataract in one eye. If I had closed the bad eye I might never have found out! As for driving sleepy… I eventually learned to pull over.

Worked with a guy that had like 3 monster cans during a night shift and on the way home ran his car clean into a bush, rode up on it and stuck on a bush on a 60mph road, a country road with twists and turns, this can happen anywhere, if you feel that bad just pull over, set an alarm and take a 30 minute nap, its better than wrapping yourself round a tree.

These are the kind of people who just shouldn't have a licence. 1. You're clearly distracted by some thing in your thighs which I'm guessing is a phone. 2. You're driving while tired and risking the lives of yourself and others. If your tired pull over and have short power naps. If you're falling asleep pull over immediately. It may take you 3x maybe 4x as long to reach your destination, but at least your not risking your life and others.

I was on a road trip with my dad when he fell asleep. Now my dad is a deep sleeper. I was in the passenger seat I grabbed the wheel and started yelling dad whist trying to keep the car in lane. I was like 9 or something

Some advice for you tired drivers out there Using your voice stimulates your brain Practice bird/deer calls when driving to stay awake The obvious solution is to pull over, but let's be real, we never want to do that. So make loud, obnoxious noises, and sing horribly to fight off sleep.

I have fallen asleep whilst driving five years ago. I woke up going off the road up a bank at the last second I swerved away from the edge of a high drop. I would have landed on top of a warehouse. Thank God I was not hurt and I had just dropped my friend at the hospital 😳

This is why you should never drive slow, if you drive fast and try to speed your brains will remain active and alert all the time. Accidents happen when youre too relaxed driving, not when you speed under control of the car.

This is not only a danger to himself but to others that didn't ask to be put in the resulting danger from a potential accident. Just flat out irresponsible - should have just pulled over and took a nap.

I once worked with a guy who worked 3 jobs. He didn't need to. He was early twenties and still living at home. He just wanted to. He said he slept 2 to 3 hours a night and he'd always come to work and laugh about how he'd fallen asleep several times behind the wheel on the way there. He'd also fall asleep while standing at work. I have no idea why he chose to live like that, but the fact he drove that way made me so mad.

This is as dangerous as drunk driving. When you have this buy a coke/Energy drink and then drive home. If you can't buy sth. pull over and get out of the car for about a minute and jump around and move. Then get back in your car and drive home and sleep.
