I think they meant a Paper Mario that's original and not a remake. And in that case, they don't have the brain capacity to know that game development takes years, let alone the TTYD remake only dropped not even a month ago. Chances are Inteligent Systems hasn't even started planning the next Paper Mario other than it having the original formula because they were so preoccupied with TTYD.

fun fact: I haven’t beaten a single metroid game. I plan to eventually, probably prime one, but i’m not going out of my way to say “Grr, it isn’t what I WANTED.” I’m really glad that it’s coning out, because not only does that remove one game people will shut up about every direct, but people will finally get the game they’ve been wanting for YEARS.

Metroid Prime 4 is at least Halo Reach/Halo 4 level if not better, and that's late stage 360/ps3 era graphics. Which as a reminder is the level of power the Switch runs at. And is impressive for a handheld system circa 2017. Nintendo is a generation or two behind graphically compared to PlayStation and Xbox but their games look better than games that came out at the time that level of power was the norm.

Might be a bit of a hot take but I'm honestly happy that the game took so long to come up since its announcement. From what was shown in the trailer, it's pretty obvious that there's no way in hell it's running on the switch and will most likely be a launch title for its successor so it won't be held back by the hardware restrictions that it would have had to deal with if it came out earlier in the switches life.

@@AGAMER360 I'm not too sure about that personally. BOTW only worked because there wasn't a significant hardware difference between the Wii U and the Switch but Metroid Prime 4 just seems like too much for the switch to handle as a whole. And (while you should always take leaks with a grain of salt) the supposed hardware difference between the switch and its successor is so significant that they would either have to heavily compromise on the game for it to run on switch or it would barely run at all.

Same thing happened with certain games when the ps4 and xbox one were brand new consoles Some games released for ps4 and xbox one got a previous-gen ports for the ps3 and 360 Some were fine ports and almost identical experience like MGSV, while there was some watered down ps3/x360 versions like Black ops 3

The original Metroid Prime was actually the best selling game in the series for like 18 years, and spawned a whole trilogy of sequels. Also, they aren’t really FPS games in the way most people think of them, they feel pretty accurate to the 2D games

Yeah i can see where your coming from, something about the text font kinda doesnt match and it doesnt really match the tone and artstyle of the gameplay

It was a good direct, but kinda got in the hype of new Switch 2 announcement and new Tomodachi Life game (with new LGBTQ+ stuff). So I did get a little disappointment, but those Dragon Quest games, actually look good instead of the god awful mobile remakes on the switch, like why not have an option to play the original games, why not the rest of the series?

Nintendo is outdoing themselves lately. Metroid Prime 4, Mario Wonder, Pokemon Legends Z-A, and Mario and Luigi: Brothership. And people still want to complain.
