B8.5 hidden menu?

Thank you. Do I need to enter some password/login to do adaptations in VCDS? Or it just works? I'm waiting for Ross Tech HEXv2 delivery and I'm wondering if coding and adaptations are really that "simple", or do I have to do something before writing data to controllers.

Thanks, tried this on my B8 A4 and 5F didn't connect and timed out, guess my MMI is not the same one, is more basic. Followed your tutorial on checking battery condition and that worked though so will be sorting out a new battery.

I own an Audi A4 B8 2009 2.0 TDI and want to access module 5F, but it is not on the screen with active modules so I browse to it. When I want to access it, I get an error 'No response from interface'. How can I resolve this problem?

It works only for pre-facelift as far as i know. I couldn't manage to do this on my 2013 A4. Activated the hidden menu and ticked the necessary items, but it doesn't work.

bună ! văd ca știi despre audi a4 b8! am și eu acest model și mi s-a întâmplat chestia următoare: când dau sa șterg parbrizul cu ștergătoarele, mi se aprinde eroare de bec pt stopuri, mi se opresc toate luminile din bord ( ceasuri, lângă schimbător ) și navigația se aprinde într-un mod deranjant ( la intensitate maxima). in aceasta seara am observat, ca de asemenea, când îmi apare aceasta eroare, deși farurile sunt doar pe poziție ( este aprins decât led-ul), mi se aprind farurile dintr-o data, chiar dacă mașina nu este pe auto. ce crezi ca poate fi? o pun mâine pe tester, dar as vrea sa știu ce crezi.. mulțumesc !

Since doing this, my MMI now will not come back on. It will load intermittenty for a short moment and then go out within 2 seconds. I already had the green menu activated and have used before to add audi drive select no problems. Any ideas why adding the battery monitor would now do this? Thanks

Thanks for the link to reboot the MMI :) I will try this later today. Another question can i do this process with engine on. My battery is weak and message appears "battery weak and will switch off in 3 min" I dont want cut-off middle of this process. Thats main reason i wanted this menu so i can check the monitor after i replace battery.
