Castlemaine Rod Shop have a burnout pad on the side of their shop. On the way home from Summernats I stopped in there and got to do a burnout in my car. All the way in Western Australia I just built my own private burnout pad. AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE, Oi Oi Oi !!!

The respect for other people, and other peoples' stuff, is the main reason I like watching Cleetus McFarland, Boostedboiz, Fasterproms, Finnegan's Garage and Mighty Car Mods. This video is an absolutely great example of it. You can see Garrett's and James' respect for these cars and their builders just based on how cautious they're being with starting them up after so long.

Remember, because those cars are from the Southern Hemisphere the engines rotate the other direction...!

I had the chance to go to to Thailand a few years ago. I'm sitting in the hotel bar, 30 odd stories up and drinking beer- real beer, not the stuff robbed from some poor horse with a kidney problem, and I ask the local bartender about the local beers- beers brewed in Thailand. So he serves me a couple- they are pretty good I say; about that time one of the gents watching Aussie Football comes over from the table he and his friends are sitting at and asks me how I'm doing with the local beer. Well I told him 'Pretty well", and he noted my "Murican accent right off- he said "son, you need a guide- let us show you REAL Aussie beer". Being a from out of town sort and polite, I said "sure, let's do that thing!" Several dozen beers later or maybe it was quite a few dozen- I'm not real clear on that, they hauled me back to the hotel in a stolen wheel barrow, tighter than Dick's hat band and deposited me in my room. I know it was stolen, because they left the merchant they "borrowed" it from a note, and he showed up at the hotel and the hotel staff found it outside my room, with a hand made diploma as an "Official Adopted Australian Beer Tester", fully certified to buy my own beer anywhere in the world. It was awesome, as was an invitation to a pub in Brisbane that claims to have 400 different beers on tap! Got to get to BrisVegas sometime before I die! Yes, sir, when Aussies take something serious, they take it seriously indeed! No Foster's Export Quality Horse Piss for these guys! No, sir!

Not sure if you guys know the history of CMRS but it was started by Rod Hatfield who has built some amazing cars here in Australia over many years including the Warbird '55 Chevy with a supercharged Merlin from a P51 Mustang (the fighterplane type Mustang) and Mother Duck a Model T doctor's coupe with a twin super charged 427 cammer, he's a LEGEND!

Living a dream guys. I will probably never see a car like this in my life but i love how these things makes you happy.

My plane is setup the same way. Lycoming 540 with engine driven fuel and magnetos. Instead of a fuel tap I’ve got fuel tank selector valve and air fuel mixture control. At altitude we have to manually lean fuel levels to make the most power (less air to mix with) Shutoff is the same - cut fuel and burn it all out.
