@@selloi1869 He retired from the main stage in 2018. He still plays on the senior circuit though and just announced 2024 will be his last ever year as a competitive darts player, I think he'll become a World Darts ambassador after he properly retires.

Mainly, a 174, a 180, and a 147 checkout!!! MVG did that same route a few years back against Raymond Van Barneveld when he was just 17 years old, at the time, Michael van Gerwen became the youngest player ever to throw a 9-darter on TV.

Mate, he's so far ahead of the rest, I'd say Taylor can also claim to be the second and third best in the world too.. the most indomitable sportsman of all time! don't think there's another sportsman with as much clear water between his wins and the next player's wins, in ANY sport.. and he's still getting to finals in his 50s. Hope he carries on, he's got another few titles in him yet.

thats not fair. the BDO is special.iv been watching it for yrs.its always something to look forward to after christmas. it might'nt be as high profile as the PDC but the lakeside is a special place.and the darts are of a high quality.

pobtrons high quality? are you serious, i've seen more quality in my local boozer, you can expect to see less than ten 180s at a BDO tournament, you see ten 180s in a single match in the PDC, it should be scrapped, if you're not good enough to play in the PDC then keep it as a hobby, nobody wants to watch crappy players when you have the likes of Taylor and MVG hitting 9 darters

Guys, I may not know much about the BDO events in darts (I'm American) but from I read here from you guys, the BDO could pave the way for many to get to the PDC, Phil Taylor, Michael Van Gerwen, Wayne "Hawaii 501" Mardle, Peter Wright and other greats to grace the oche had to start somewhere, although the BIG-TIME is the PDC.
