Synopsis: Charlie (Charlie Sheen), a womanizing Malibu bachelor has his life disrupted when his brother Alan (Jon Cryer) and his son move in with him. Alan's best friend and internet billionaire Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher), eventually buys Charlie's house in this comedic sitcom about men navigating women, sex, dating, divorce, single parenthood, money, love, and friendship.

@@Nina-rg8es keep in mind that Alan paid (i think it was 4000$ a month in child support) like he said he barely had any money left after all his monthly bills were paid what little he had left he needed to survive on

If there was ANY form of exposition for Charlie, it was RIGHT HERE!! From the moment he opened up to Alan, everyone just fell for him! He truly was fantastic! One of the best written character introductions of all time!

I remember watching this episode for the first time and hearing Charlie's response to when Alan asked what's going on with you I cried. Charlie described the life many men can only dream about and the ones who accomplish it tend to do it much later in life than he does unless they are a celebrity or born into wealth.

Charlie Sheen was to Charlie Harper what Ed O'Neill was to Al Bundy. There was only ever going to be ONE choice to make comedy perfection so I'm glad they got it right both times.
