The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, lifeboat crews around the UK and Ireland are ready to launch to help those in need. Whether you're stuck on a sinking ship, cut off by a rapidly rising tide, or in the water and close to drowning, RNLI crew members will drop everything to come to your rescue. 95% of RNLI lifeboat crews and station staff are volunteers.
But it’s not just lifeboats. RNLI lifeguards patrol 248 beaches across the UK and Channel Islands, keeping people safe, providing safety advice and rescuing those in trouble. Education volunteers visit schools and swimming clubs to help teach the next generation how to enjoy the water safely. And volunteer fundraisers and shop workers give up their time to generate vital funds. The RNLI is also working to help communities around the world that are most at risk of drowning.
If you spot someone in trouble in the water, call 999 or 112 and ask for the coastguard.

Aiding people smuglers to bring in illegals is giving the RNLI all the recognition they need. There certainly getting the public backlash and people avoiding giving donations. Ide never donate to the RNLI ever again.

It is time that the charitable status was taken away. the boats should be sold to private Companies who can verify the correct status of the illegals and if have a criminal record or no reason for asylum should be taken to nearest EU port. Employ Albanians and Romanians to man the private ships Every illegal migrant has travelled through the EU so it does not matter if set down on French, Belgian Dutch , German or Danish Beach.. Give each one a letter stating their status and let the greedy arrogant EU sort it out.

@@bobs6280 you wouldn't get help when there boats are full of illegals also it's tax payers who are paying to keep these illegals in 4 star hotels etc once the RNLI taxi them in while our homeless are on the streets with nothing. It's tax payers filling the RNLI begging donation buckets that have kept them going but people around the UK are sick with disbelief at the way the RNLI have betrayed us all. I know there are so many that won't donate ever again to the traitors RNLI there are alot like myself who won't donate again. RNLI are aiding people smugglers. Its you who need to grow up and face the facts without uk border force and the RNLI the illegals would stop taking the risks. Its because they know they only have to call them and the RNLI are there to taxi them in. They don't even have to call the RNLI there out there patrolling for them. Then it's left to tax payers to pay for there hotels and spending money etc. As though times are not hard enough for folk here.
