Lucky you! I am from Germany and, I am pretty sure you can't imagine, but here is literally no chance to have such close encounters with animals in the wilderness as you just showed us with the Owl. The wild animals here are way more shy, without a hide it's nearly impossible to do wonderful pictures as you are doing. Amazing stuff, really great fun to watch. Thumbs up, Steve! They are amazing! I had one fly between me and my sister up in the Sax Zim Bog and he was so close I felt his wing tip on my cheek. I almost pee'd my pants, lol.

So I had the opportunity to spend a few days in the woods around Leadville, CO last week and I came upon a meadow that reminded me of you and the Great Gray habitats you explore. And there was a squirrel barking! I looked everywhere and waited a while. Nothing! Thanks for another great video!

The perfect day in the woods Steve!

Oh my. That was such a fun video to watch. And what a blessing to get that close to the owl, and know it knows your there and is curious. I was lucky to be visiting my mom who had a pair of young hawks next to her house. They would screech at her and she’d sing to them. I was able to have eye contact with them for minutes at a time as they practiced flying and resting. There’s just nothing like that😊

That was awesome! And the owl footage with the gopher in its mouth was wicked cool! Special moments indeed
