I now feel so awful but I love this. I picked the Kanna lives route because that’s what Sou wanted right…? I felt so bad and cried when he turned on the Joe AI with dying happily. I then looked on KZfaq to see the Sou lives route and I felt so bad and that ending made me so upset… Sou really cared about her but just was a liar about it, Then when she probably had to go, He tried with all his heart to get them to kill him off instead just so Kanna could live instead of himself.

This comment is gonna contain spoilers... I had played only half of the first chapter of YTTD, and I absolutely adored Kanna and Sou. I was so excited to play more, but sadly, I didn't get the chance. That was 1-2 years ago. A couple months back, I started playing again. I knew about Ranmaru, and really wanted to see him, so I started playing the most recently released part for the new chapter. It told me to choose "which characters I chose to die." I didn't know that you even had a choice, but I played along. ....I saw that I had to choose between Kanna and Sou. It absolutely broke my heart that I even had to choose, because I wanted them to survive together. I finished the most recent part of the game, and realized. They were blood related siblings. I ended up crying a lot that night. But I think it's alright, because at least they got to meet and had a decent relationship. I'm sure if they knew they were blood related, then they would cherish their time together more.

This is very late, but I noticed that green vines mimic the heart loop that indicates the sacrifice picking someone to bring with them- I don’t actually remember if they were that way in the game but either way this was beautiful🥺✨💕

These two went through a lot through the game. Kanna was too good for the world and, although I still don't fully forgive his actions, Sou went through far too much. This is my personal favorite animatic that portays the relationship the two have. I really hope more people will see this video as it deserves all the support that it gets.

ohh fuck this got me [spoilers] dude when I first played the game Shin and Kanna's relationship was really intriguing to me but never actually made me sad. After playing it multiple times though and watching a bunch of stuff like this, it's seriously had me thinking about how fucking sad it is. You either kill Shin, murdering Kanna's only biological sibling and making his survival rate of 0.0% come true despite all the shit he did to prevent it, or you kill Kanna and genuinely just destroy Shin in the process. He cared about her so much, not as some pawn like everyone thought, but as his actual little sister. And you don't really realize this until you see the message he left for her on Kugie's phone. They both cared about each other almost like Sara and Joe did and you're forced to separate them. They both end up begging for themselves to be killed so the other one can live during the second main game and it's SO FUCKING SAD. When you let Shin live he sees it as the ultimate betrayal and it's really freaking sad to me cause he's my favorite character, probably of all time ahhhhh. sorry for this lmao my friends are sick of me ranting about stuff they're not into and I had to get this out somewhere.
