The duckling died due to suffocation... don't give to many duck eggs to a broody hen as the size of the duckling is bigger than chicks and the hen will always try to kept everyone under her that results in suffocation

Hens can accept both its eggs and other species eggs to kept and raise them, so the offspring replacement is meaningless to mention here...that person above talks about a wide love which can make life less hard a lot, but you can’t get the idea, even claim him to have chicken brain, well, if he has chicken brain, then I think nothing wrong for me to say you have a brain of a tiny worm

excellent video..I have 4 hens in love, 2 pairs..banti black with short legs, fat with a leghorn, white with long legs..and two banti hens that are inseparable..when the roosters come to call one hen will fight off roosters in both scenerios..coll, funny, truth..I love my chickens..

What!??? Are you serious the duckling need to be with a mother duck so they can learn and grow. No hen can't teach a duckling how to survive and eat. Ducklings are made for the water and need to know. No hen is not going near no water to live.

I have seen where a set of chick are guarded by two hens. They were rotated when they were sitting on the eggs. The one that was removed just sits around in an empty box next to it. This was done to keep the chick safe from flying predators as two moms guard them

you should keep some woodchips and sawdust all over the floor at least 6 inches deep.....you can get it for free at a wood shop where they saw wood. That way the poop becomes manure and the place remains clean and does not stink
