Funny you mentioned Ted Kennedy. I am old enough to remember Tip O'Neil and Ronald Reagan getting together and making deals happen. Reagan used to say that he would rather get 80% of what he wanted than 100% of nothing. And that was back in the days when you beat someone fair and square, you didn't cut their balls off afterwards. You left them with their dignity still intact. But I'm also old enough to remember when George H.W. Bush nominated Robert Bork to the Supreme Court and it was Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden both who took it upon themselves to not only defeat his nomination, but to personally and professionally destroy him. Yes, politics has always been a rough and tumble affair, but that's the day it turned genuinely ugly. It's no longer about winning based on ideas or policy. It's about destroy your opponent. One of the instigators is dead and the other is senile and our current President. Food for thought..........and just a few days ago Joe Biden was comparing Trump to Hitler, flat out lying about things Trump allegedly said (and there's plenty to go after him for saying so you don't have to lie about it) and saying there should be a bullseye on him. TK, I agree with you 100%. I was watching this rally on PBS live. And I saw it actually happen live, my son was with me and told me to check the news on other stations. Total crickets for 20 to 30 minutes. They are able to break into every other broadcast when Biden wants ice cream. To me it looked like all the MSM media got together and huddled up to make sure they all essentially tell the same story. And that's exactly what I was hearing on all those outlets.

Either th USSS is useless or they were in on it. Mayorkas has been in Republicans crosshairs for months. Same man that reportedly rejected requests for more security. At least 3 people now have been interviewed that claimed to alert cops and USSS about a man with a rifle climbing the building 3 to 4 minutes prior to the first shot. Yet Trump wasn't pulled off stage or the building swarmed. Just prior to the first shot you could hear people shouting and pointing toward the shooter on the building as he was crawling and setting up his firing position and target. 7+ seconds pass before the first shot. Then 4 seconds after the first shot the counter snipers finally responded. The shooter was clearly visible from even the ground, including as he is layed out after being shot. There were at least 2 snipers and a spotter looking toward the shooter that was 150 yards away or so, yet they didn't see him allegedly. Even though he was on the flat roof. Either extremely incompetent or they were in on letting it happen.
