Rob studied opera in college and has not sung it in over 15 years! Austin studied musical theater and some opera and, although, his professors tried to get him to stick with opera, his heart was always with musical theater. Austin talked Rob into doing the video to showcase Rob’s “hidden talent”. They were both very nervous about releasing the video. They stunned everyone! They are fantastic, as we know!

The talent and skill amongst this group of guys is so diverse and vast, it's almost hard to imagine. Rob and Austin did a killer job with this. After hearing the power and beauty of their voices within Home Free, it didn't surprise me in the least. I figured it was only a matter of time before one or both of them decided to offer up an opera selection. They have the chops for it and have the vocal training to back it up. Beautiful. Thanks for a great reaction.

Wasn’t this incredible?!! Rob studied opera in college but that was years ago. Some operatic singer reactors said that if he studied a little more he could be an opera singer. Yep, I believe that. Austin studied musical theater and did very a respectable job himself. So good. Good reaction HC!

Been waiting for more of those familiar with HF to react, though I love seeing others dragged in, too. We've been out here waiting. Audience for reactors/ analyzers is havin' FUN, FUN, FUN. I'm happy they did, too. My joke has been, being a rock, heavy metal, and celtic girl, "Damn, they're making me like country!" This video just expanded on the joke. "Damn, they're making me like opera, too!" But you know it's always said with a smile as I watch their video again.

They nailed this! Rob had studied opera in college but hadn’t sung opera in years. After Austin heard Rob’s part he went back and re-recorded his part. They have gotten praise from some of the opera singers here on KZfaq.

Yes this is wow, wow and wow.. This is insane. It is extremely good. Fantastic. Both are doing great. But Rob, I'm perplexed. His voice is just magical, so rich, so warm and powerful. Chills just ran through my body. It flows into my heart. For me he will be able to stand with the greatest of opera singers. It's not often that I listen to songs by opera singers 5 times and more in a row. But here it is. Of course I hope that both will always continue to do Home Free, but I wouldn't think it wrong that such "trips" are made more often. Opera, country, ballads, soul etc. I think anything is possible..

Rob was actually classically trained in Opera in college. This was Austin's idea and a great one if you ask me. Rob has not sung Opera in about 15 years. I truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song and their amazing voices.

Great reaction! You'd be amazed at how many reactors had no clue what 'Nessun Dorma' was going into this performance. As mentioned, Rob trained and sang opera many years ago which certainly explains his deep, rich voice we've not really seen with Home Free. Austin has that signature 'cry' in his singing voice which I think adds to his tenor here. Have to applaud the guys for offering something so different, surprising many existing...and new!...fans. :) Good on them for branching out, showing their versatility.

All the members of Home Free are just so multi-talented! Rob can whistle, does a perfect imitation of Sir Mix-A-Lot (if you haven't seen Home Free's "Butts Remix" you laugh your butt off) and can sing opera! Austin's voice is just angelic and he and Tim Foust are both song writers and they're both piano players. Adam Chance plays guitar and has written and directed Home Free videos. Adam Rupp - well, there are just no words to describe his level of talent!

If you remember the Christmas special that was streamed on Mandolin in early December 2020...Chance wrote the script of the special !!! It was funny & brilliant too. Chance stays more reserved than the others but is a damn awesome talented guy !!! Glad folks are finally recognizing him

@@miamidolphinsfan - I saw a video interview with Chance and he said he'd always liked writing stories and had always done so. I know he's also directed some of Home Frees videos! He's got a great vocal range too. In more recent live concert videos I've seen he's more relaxed; however, apparently he also gets migraines - I've had them and it must be pure hell to tolerate the lights and noise of a concert with one.

If we're listing achievements, let us not forget Austin's terrifyingly accurate and foul-mouthed imitation of Mickey Mouse on TikTok. I almost cried laughing. He also juggles eggs.

Rob said that he did this for his father. What a tribute! BTW, Home Free dropped a new song last week called Save the World. It is somewhat different from their usual videos in a good way. You really should check it out.

Great Reaction! I have never been a fan of opera except maybe some Andrea Bocelli & a few others. But I have always appreciated the talent it takes to sing opera. I was pretty impressed with Rob & Austin's version of Nessun Dorma. I have heard this famous song done by Pavarotti. I think I was more surprised by Rob's range & powerful delivery than even Austin's. Pretty good for a couple of country boys! Nice to see them dressed up in suits & looking classy.
