This sleepy little beach town on the north Pacific coast is probably one of the best kept secrets in Costa Rica. We had a short two days to enjoy the beautiful beaches and great food. After a long drive from Arenal, our first stop was for snacks at Hotel El Velero where our friends were staying. We had tasty drinks and appetizers outdoors right on the beach. Our Airbnb casita, Casa Gisele, was just walking distance further on with its own outdoor kitchen, swimming pool and right next door to the highly rated Ginger’s restaurant. That night we ventured down to El Coco just 15 minutes to the south. Another beautiful little beach town, the main street lined with souvenir shops and a variety of restaurants. Soda Teresita, right on the beach at El Coco is where locals eat. They had the best scratch made margaritas, ceviche with wonderful homemade salsa. Just loved all the beach bars and restaurants in these towns.
The next day we had typical Tico breakfast with gallo pinto at a local soda. We spent the day on the beach, Aaron flying the drone and me negotiating with the vendors for souvenirs. Later that evening, we enjoyed a delicious meal with our friends at La Casita del Marisco where we were greeted by a huge iguana.
The laid back vibe on these two beaches was very inviting. Dinner under the trees, right on the beach was so relaxing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. No hustle and bustle, just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets every night.

Thanks for your comments. Diesnt get much fresher than fishing for your own dinner. I didnt know they would do that. Will give it a try next time.

Hey all! We're curious to find out why this video has outperformed any other video? Can you give us some feedback why this is so popular? Is it the topic? The music? The video itself? Let us know your thoughts please.

Saludos y bendiciones.

Personally I would have to say it's because of the locations Hermosa and Coco are areas of high interest for expats to visit. It's the only reason I watched, to see if you went to similar places as us.

@@hoppinhunters I honestly believe the Manuel Antonio area is the most beautiful part of C.R. but for ease of visiting we typically stay in the Coco area. Hit springs @ Arenal and tubing Rio Celeste are both cool too
