So according to many interviews, this is Mancini's fave of his compositions. I've always been fascinated by this tunes, still love to play it. Thanks Tony and Laura for reminding me! Nice work!

Surprises abound. All truly beautiful ballads become schmaltz the second you go automatic. But mission just about accomplished here I want more Zen but really damn good. Inventive consistently surprising arrangement and piano solo as well. Singer not over the top surprising range.

Yes, I am remiss in not crediting Jim, who was kind enough to photograph the Morchestra in action at Bach Dancing and Dynamite, and to allow us to use his wonderful photos. The man has an eye for the moment, essential in shooting jazz performers.
