Lily the cedi has never gained value over the naira remember Ghana took off 4 zeros from her currency in 2007 so 10,000 0ld cedis is now 1cedi.if you want to know the true value of the cedi add back the 4 zeros

You should the difference between redenomination and devaluation. Redenomination does not change the intrinsic value or a currency. The Italian lira was over 40,000 to a dollar before it was redenominated into euro. It did change a single thing. Economics 101 class will tell you!
