Hey guys! We are so glad to be back! Reacting to Ozzy was the perfect way to come back! Wow! This was a great combination of guitar work, drumming, bass playing, keyboarding and last but not least vocals. The mood is set early in the song; it is quite eerie, and once Ozzy comes in singing, it solidifies the dark mood of the song. We loved how the lyrics and music went so well. We appreciated Ozzy's vocals and the rest of the band's attempt to make this song an eerie and possibly disturbing song. We hope you enjoyed this song as much as we enjoyed reacting to it. This song has been slowed way down from the studio. It’s a beautiful solo but people need to get a grip. I love Randy as a guitarist, but sadly he only played on TWO albums. There are bands and musicians that have sold millions and millions of records and had numerous hits on 15 or 20 albums throughout the years and haven’t even been nominated. They really should remove Rock And Roll from their name because they keep inducting non Rock artists like Dolly. I love Dolly but she is not a Rock And Roll artist.

Randy Rhoads one of the greatest players to ever play a guitar. All of his work with Ozzy is music to listen to through your entire lifetime. It never gets old. Thanks for the video girls.

Randy's first two albums with his original Quiet Riot that were only released in Japan are also worth hearing. Very raw and very "cheesy metal" but that was in back in the late 70s. The 1993 release of "Randy Rhoads: The Quiet Riot Years" is touched up and sounds better. Cool to hear "Slick Black Cadillac" on the original album "Quiet Riot II" in 1980 and remade and released on the second incarnation of Quiet Riot's "Metal Health" album in 1983...both with Rudy Sarzo.

Saw this concert in 1981 also. Randy was the man! Especially when he played: " You can't kill Rock and Roll" It sounded so majestic and to this day it is my favorite song ever!

We had no idea what to expect when Ozzy was ousted from Black Sabbath and went solo. The album blew us away, but then we saw him live with Randy Rhodes (twice on the same tour) and Def Leppard opened. It was phenomenal! RIP, Randy Rhodes. This definitely warrants a standing ovation.

Randy Rhoads last show Thursday March 18th 1982: Knoxville Tn The Knoxville Civic Coliseum: I saw Randy’s last show on Thursday March 18th, 1982. UFO was the opener and one of the greatest shows ever put on! John Allen (called Ronnie to make fun of Ronnie James Dio at the time was Black Sabbath’ replacement for Ozzy) handed out water and towels to Ozzy between songs and was later hung during Goodbye to Romance. At the end Ozzy was on a giant mechanical Hand throwing meat 🍖 🥩 into the audience! Got lucky my tour shirt was tucked into my jacket! CRIED LIKE A BABY the following morning when we all heard Randy was killed in a plane crash😢😢😢😭😭😭 THE MEMORIES LINGER TO THIS DAY! Hard to believe 40 years ago this past March! RIP RANDY YOU’LLNEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

The actual Mr. Aleister Crowley was an English poet, novelist, painter, mountaineer, magician, occultist, and all-around odd guy. He founded a "religion" called Thelema, built upon a single tenet: "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of The Law." He traveled the world, had _many_ loves along the way, both male and female. He lived from 1875 until the end of 1947, and this little snippet barely even scratches the surface of his life. The lead guitarist you two were amazed by was named Randy Rhoads; he was absolutely incredible and very highly regarded in the rock community. He also suffered one of the most rock & roll deaths of all time: killed when a private plane he was a passenger in crashed into his tour bus. Both of them are well worth learning more about.

Fun fact: Jimmy Page was (maybe still is) a follower of Crowley's work. He even bought one of his homes and published a series of Crowley's journals called The Equinox.

My favorite Ozzy song live with Randy. Even if you know nothing about him you can see the classical influence by the way he fingers the fretboard. Very arched fingers. And he looks so casual as he plays like "Oh this is so easy". He hardly looks at what he is doing on the fretboard. Thanks for reacting to it.

You’re right. It was intentionally made to sound very dark and “creepy” because the song was about a very dark and “creepy” person. Randy Rhodes died when he was only about 26. He still has such an influence on guitarists today. He was classically trained as well.

Randy was trained as a classical guitarist. Many years ago I took lessons from his mom at Musonia in North Hollywood. The store is still there. His brother gives private tours of Randy's practice area. I saw one of his last shows in LA on Dec 31st 1981. It was New Year's Eve, the opening act didn't show up. We had to wait until 11:00pm for Ozzy to come out because he wanted to be on stage at midnight. Randy was considering quitting the band at the end of the tour. He had promised his mom he would go to UCLA like she did and get his degree in classical guitar.

It is a rare, clear recording of Randy and it was here in my city of Rochester, NY. Wish I had known and could have been there; of course, I was a poor kid, age 11, living in Castile (suburb of Rochester) at that time and just weeks before we moved to Bakersfield, CA. My best friend's older brother did see the concert, as I recall, with his best friend. Tough knowing I never got to see him live and that there are so few recordings. Amazing!

I remember listening to that track just after I bought the album *ckough cough* a few years ago. Quite a suitbale subject for them to do, seeing as Aleister Crowley was a reputed witch and deemed 'the most evil man in England' for a while. From what I have read he was likely only a little bit madder than a box of frogs!

In 1980-82 saw Blackmore, Iommi, Gallagher, Guy, Van Halen. This guy was up ther and had the chance to bet better. Met him after UK gig in Newcastle (trying to see Ozzy) and he was so nice. A massive loss as a man - then a guitarist

Randy was my favorite guitarist of that era. I HIGHLY recommend you take a listen to Diary of a Madman, the song itself, and Tonight from the same album, especially the exit solo on Tonight, to experience some of the best of Randy's abilities. He was one of the best guitarist to grace this planet.

Those first two Ozzy albums, "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman" (with original Bassist Bob Daisley and Drummer Lee Kerslake) are absolute classics! Sadly, Randy Rhoads would lose his life in a plane crash just four months after Diary was released, but you can really sense where his talent was headed and the direction of 80s Metal. If you really want to hear the evolution from Mr. Crowley to the next level, listen to "Diary of a Madman"...it will really fill your hearts with awe! Check out Ozzie's song "Bark At The Moon". There is a live concert video on KZfaq. The guitarist is Jake E. Lee and he really poured on the energy for this one. Another one from Ozzy with Randy is "Diary Of A Madman". Randy studied classical guitar and put that knowledge to good use here. The song is based on a 1964 scary, Vincent Price movie called Diary Of A Madman. The movie is on You Tube if you want to watch before you react.
