Chelsea have been boosted by the return of two key players back in training this week after both missed the last game against Everton with injury.
Both Enzo Fernandez and Axel Disasi have been pictured back in training yesterday ahead of the big FA Cup semi final clash against Manchester City on Saturday evening.
None of their issues were expected to be serious, but there was some claims that Enzo may require surgery on a hernia injury that has been bothering him for some time and if he takes the surgery then he would miss three weeks. No confirmation as of yet whether he is going to have that or not.
Mauricio Pochettino will be very pleased to have both players back in training, as seen below, because both players have become key regular starters for The Argentine boss this season. Although, it will give him some selection headaches as well because Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah did very well in Disasi’s absence, and Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher did very well in the pivot.
Raheem Sterling has returned to training after being sidelined by a bout of food poisoning. He suffered from dehydration because of this and lost weight while battling the illness.
In other news, Levi Colwill is an ambitious target for PSG, despite the fact that Chelsea aren’t looking to sell him.
Spurs remain intent on signing Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
The Lilywhites have been long-time admirers of the English midfielder who faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge due to the Blues’ relentless spending.
According to The Sun, Chelsea centre-back Malang Sarr, who last appeared for the Blues in May 2022, is getting closer than ever to leaving the team this summer.
There have been growing calls for a kind of rebuilding at Stamford Bridge, and Sarr is one of the players who may be let go to aid Chelsea financially.
Charlie Webster has signed a one-year contract extension at Chelsea keeping him at the club until 2025.
