I think what I like best is they brought out the best in each other..... Scottie has and will always be my favorite player. Scotty an amazing facilitator , fast break threat , respectable three ball shooter, mind numbingly good defender (better than mj , don't worry mj was a great agressive defender) combine that with mj's half court scoring abillity, sociopath desire to win and aggresive defense , you have an insane cohesive duo.

I don't care about what anyone else says about today's modern stars. They just don't compare. Yeah there's been other good duo's before don't get me wrong. But Pippen & Jordan were the whole package. Both great defenders and both lethal offensive players & both had high basketball IQ. Nowadays it's all offense no defense. Mindlessly shoot 3's or go the the basket uncontested because there are no more traditional centers. It's a shame what it the game has become.
@boogieloo18316 жыл бұрын
SLAND3R - Exactly. There is no more fundamental basketball in today's NBA. The rule changes and the new foul interpretations have created today's wide open, 3 port chucking conditions. Kids today actually think today's game and players are somehow better when the reality is they just play in much easier conditions.
@spunkhead6 жыл бұрын

There was no place like the old Chicago Stadium. The old place was a dump, complete with huge pillars blocking your view of the court. But the home court advantage was like nowhere else. That place was loud! The United Center can get loud, but it’s big and cavernous, and the expensive seats bring in fans who aren’t really into it. And if you’re up in the 300 level, the court seems like it’s a mile away

A Chicagian myself, I had the opportunity to work at Chicago stadium as a teenager into my early twenties. To watch those two on defense and how quick they were was amazing. No duo ever played defense like that. They would beat you in your house the same way. I hate what Pippen is saying these days, because Mike had to take him under his wings for him to be that good. He played like Mike before Kobe. The two of them were feared all over the world. I'm glad I lived in a era were basketball reached it true heights and not so machanical as these monsters today.

Sorry but no. This is what the last dance should have been about: just jordan and Pippen footage, who in my opinion, produced the best and most beautiful basketball ever played. Instead, they focused on drama and they repeatedly lambasted Pippen for no reason. If you watch the documentary every single guy has good things to say about Pippen, yet pippen didnt actually had too much talking time while the producers chose to focus on off court antics and contract problems. So Pippen just defended himself. But we all know Jordan could kick little puppies on KZfaq and everyone would still love him... Pippen, not so much.

@@RM-xk6iu Pippen had an opportunity to admit his mistakes. Instead, he decided that he didn't do anything wrong. And for those dumb comments, he was rightfully criticized. Trying to blame it on the documentary is childish and ignores where the criticism of his character is coming from.

But he didnt do anything wrong! and what might have been wrong (that play in which he didnt come back), he apologized in front of all his teammates after the game. Sorry, but the criticism to Pippen came out of nowhere in that documentary and was undeserved. Yeah, he later handled it terribly, but still Instead of all that crap, i would have loved to watch Jordan and Pippen plays and training footage
