@Eze&Yare Dominguez You can still get them to slide without any issues. All you really need to drift is RWD and a LSD or a locked diff. Other than that it's all on the driver.

I'll give another hint, don't do it downhill on a tight back road with logs on the side which is only partially covered in snow... it will be fun a couple of times until it's not.

tbf 205 hp isn't a lot to have fun with. I'd imagine that you can have more fun with a 5th gen mustang or 4th gen Camaro or 350z etc. This is relevant because all of them are around the same price used.

APerson depends on what your idea of fun is. I don’t need 300hp to have fun driving. Plus, drifting/AutoX is more fun to me than driving in a straight line really fast

@@joeyn177 well, how about a car in very poor conditions of 2005 4cil with 140 hp stock, literally i press the throttle full and the car just dont move because the engine its going to day some day hahaha so yes i cant drift (some times, like 1 a month i drive a Ford f150 v8 that can drift, obviusly not that much, but it feels AMAZING lol (i do it on dirty roads so its not the same)

That's my favourite technic to initiate drift on wet roundabout in my MX5 NA 1.8, but others people still trying to say me, that drifting with no handbrake that's not drifting! xD ~~ Exactly - Speeding up until limit the grip and press the gas pedal to skid, then countersteer and softly pressing the gas pedal :)

Yeah, I tried this today in my WRX and it wasn’t having it. I think the front end would skip out before the backend unless you pull a certain lever to encourage the situation)

Hi @TheTopher; Perfect drifts. I just bought my BRZ last month. I would like to learn in which mode did you do this effortless smooth driftings? Is it pedal dance mode (crazy sequence of things with e brake and some brakes secret-func)? Or just hold trc button for some time? Vsc? They are a bit confusing and new to me.

If you have pre 2017 facelift models, use pedal dance for traction & stability control to be fully off. In the later models, hold down the track button for ~5 seconds, I don't think there is a pedal dance for those models

Jack Sparrow twin refers to the BRZ/86 platform. They are exactly the same except for cosmetics and some interior things. They are called the twins because they are the same lol.

unless you need to go faster, you should be staying the same gear, even if the revs are limitting the rev limiter. you also hold down the gas for as long as you want to drift.

At around 0:28 it looks like the wheel naturally spins left. Do you have to add any input or does the car typically snap the front tires leftward when you initiate the drift? And does anyone have a personal sweet spot in terms of revs + gear for dry and wet roads on any car? Thanks!

If your alignment is good, the car should counter-steer itself like that, but of course you need to control it to make sure it doesn't steer itself too much and snap back in the other direction. I would recommend, if possible, to try first on snow, in a safe open area. Or, going to a place where they can teach you if you can. The revs and gear will depend on alot of things, but if you are just starting out, 2nd gear is probably the one you want to be in.

Yea basically what Leon said, your car will always want to steer wherever has the least resistance, if you are sliding sideways the wheels will want to turn into the slide.

This is what happens at the point where you initiate the slide because there is more power being added to the rear wheels so it will want to slide left
