Two Months
Synposis
Pathum, a young educated man from the city, works as a teacher in an impoverished village school in rural Sri Lanka. Pathum is in charge of 5th grade students, who are expected to sit for the scholarship exam in two months' time.
As the story begins, Pathum is highly disturbed and tormented by the thoughts inside his head. For unexplained reasons, he seems to be motivated by the strong belief that a heinous crime is taking place within the school. As he is certain of what he believes and desperate to punish the perpetrator, Pathum embarks on a risky venture to somehow prove his suspicions.
Pathun soon realizes that the situation is more complicated and the stakes are much higher

පැතුම්ගේ චරිතයත් සමහර විට ළමා කාලයේ අපයෝජනයට ලක් වුණු චරිතක් වෙන්න පුළුවන් (විදුහල්පති සමඟ හැසිරුණු විදිහාේ ගේ කාරණා බලද්දී) . එහෙමත් නැත්නම් පැතුම් අපයෝජනයට ලක් වුණු වෙනත් දරුවෝ කිහිපදෙනෙක් හොඳින් දන්නවා වෙන්නත් පුළුවන් (අම්මාට අවුරුදු දහයක ළමයෙක් අපයෝජනය වෙන එක ගැන තමන්ට හොඳට තේරෙනවා කියන එකෙන්). අපයෝජනයක් වුණා හෝ නැතා හෝ සහන්ගේ අම්මා පැතුම් මතු කරන චෝදනා වලට මොකුත් පියවර ගන්නේ නැත්තේ තමන් ඉන්න සමාජ වටපිටාවේ තමන් ගොඩක් පීඩිත තත්වයක ඉන්න නිසා. දුප්පත් මනුස්සයාට සමාජ පඩිපෙළේ ඉහළට යන්න තියෙන සාර්ථකම ක්‍රමය ඉගෙනගැනීම නිසා වෙන හොඳ ඉස්කෝලෙකට ළමයා දාගන්න ඕන නිසා ශිෂ්‍යත්වය ඉවර කරනකන් පැතුම්ට මැදිහත් වෙන්න එපා කියන්නෙත් ඒ නිසා වෙන්න පුළුවන්. සහන් කළින් ඉස්කෝලෙන් අයින් වෙන්නයි තාත්තා ඒ දරුවාට වෛර කරන්නයි හේතුව විදිහට සහන්ගේ අම්මා කියන්නේ ඒ දරුවා "වෙනස්" කියන එක. මේකෙන් අදහස් වෙන්නේ ඒ දරුවා යම් කිසි මානසික හෝ ශාරීරික දුර්වලතාවයකින් පෙළෙන නිසාවත් ද නැත්නම් ඒ දරුවාගේ පෞරුෂයේ සමහර ලක්ෂණ සමාජයේ "අසම්මත ගති පැවතුම්" වෙන නිසාවත් ද කියන්න බැහැ. දෙකෙන් එකක් හරි දෙකම වෙන්නැති. විදුහල්පතිතුමා ඇත්තටම සහන් ට එහෙම අපයෝජනයක් කරනවාද නැත්නම් ඒ ඔක්කොම පැතුම් තමන්ගේ අත්දැකීම් පදනම් කරගෙන හදාගත්ත සැකයක් ම විතරක් ද කියන එක ප්‍රේක්ෂකයාට නිර්ණය කරන්න දීලා එතනින් කතාව අවසන් වෙනවා.

Best shortfilm.මිනිසා විසින් මිනිසාගේ අනාගතය විනාශකර ගැනීමක්.මේ මාතෘකාව මේ විදිහේ නිර්මාණයක් තුලින් සමාජයට පෙන්වා දීම අගය කොට සලකනවා.

නිගමනයකට එලබිම එච්චරම හොදනෑ. අවසානය මොකක්ද අැත්ත මොකක්ද කියල අපි කව්රු හරි කව්වොත් එක වරදක් වෙන්න පුලුවන්. එ්ක අැත්ත සිද්දියක් තුල අපිට එහෙම හිතන්න වෙන විදිය . හැබැයි තිරණයක් ගන්න නිර්මාන කරුවා විසින් ප්‍රේක්ෂකයාට ඉඩ තියපු නිර්මානයක් නිසා ඔන කෙනෙක්ට කැමති දෙයක් හිතා ගන්න පුලුවන්. කොහෙම නමුත් ලස්සන නිර්මානයක් කෙටිකතාවක ස්වරූපය ගත්තු❤❤

පැතුම් සර්ට පොඩි මෙන්ටල් කෙස් එකක් තියෙනවා කියලා තෙරෙනවා.සහන් ගැන වදවෙන්නේ පැතුම්ගේ ලමාකාලේ වෙච්ච දෙයක් එක්ක.හැබැයි එහෙම දෙයක් සහන්ට වෙලා නැ.

මේ අම්මා දෙයක් දැනගෙන, නොදන්නවා වගේ ඉන්නේ, දුප්පත්කම ඔක්කොටම වඩා ලොකු නිසා. අතවරයක් ගැන කියද්දි , ශිෂ්‍යත්වෙ තමා ඔලුවේ තියෙන්නේ .

The pathum's character represents the post mentality of an abused child. Whatever the plot is, in real life situations, these type of adults ( abused in their early age) tend to commit negative and harmful acts due to the pressure and experience that they have experienced mentally and physically.

Suspicion(Sakaya) would have been a another good contender for the title I guess 😊 Also I am pretty sure spectators are still in doubt whether it has been happened or not so “Doubt” could be a another title contender…. Anyway for me I guess rather than whether deed has been done or not director tries to tell or express about each individual. For an example for me teacher is prejudice due to his past bitter experience (He says I know I’ve been there) also on the other hand mother is only worried about next two months (May be fear of exposure in our community) But one thing I noticed is the weight she puts in to the phrase “My child is different” Different according to who? Perhaps our damn Asian community and believes …. I think it would be great you can do a movie about that as well 😊 Altogether it was marvelous…

අඩිකාරී සර් කියන චරිතය ඒ ගමේ ඉස්කෝලේ අවුරුදු 25 ක් වෙනවා කියනවා. අදිකාරි ළමයාට විශේෂ සැලකිල්ලක් දක්වන්නයි, ළමයාගේ තාත්තා අකමැති වෙන විදියට ළමයා වෙනස් කියන්නේත් ඒ වගේම පැතුම් කියන දේ දරුවාගේ අම්මා ඒ තරම් ගනන් නොගන්නයි හේතුව දරුවාගේ තාත්තා අදිකාරිගේ වෙන්න පුළුවන්.( සමාජ තත්වේ මොකක් උනත් තමන්ගේ ළමයා ගැන ඒ වගේ දෙයක් කිඋවාම ඕනම අම්ම කෙනෙක්ට දරාගන්න බැරිවෙනවා.ඒත් මේ අම්මාට ගානක් නැත්තේ ඒ නිසා)

කතාවක අවසානය පාඨකයාට ඕන විදියට තේරුම් ගත්තට වරදක් නැහැ. මට හිතුනෙත් ළමයා අධිකාරි සර් ගේ කියලයි. එහෙම හිතන්න සාධක පෙන්නල තියෙනවා. පුතා තාත්තට පේන්න බැරි බව කිව්වෙ ඒ නිසයි. ළමයා අධිකාරි සර්ගෙ නොවුනොත් අර කියමන redundant වෙනවා. කතාවක එවැනි අතිරික්ත පාඨ යොදන්න බැහැ. අනිත් කාරණය තමයි පැතුම් සර් කුඩා අවධියේ එවැනි ඇබැද්දි වලට මුහුණ දෙන්න ඇති කියන එක. නමුත් මේ කතාවෙ එහෙම නොවෙන්නත් පුළුවන්. කෙසේ වෙතත් කතාවෙ හැටියට ළමයා අධිකාරි සර්ගෙ කියල හිතන එක වඩා සාධාරණයි.

තේරැම් ගොඩයි... 1.පැතුම් සර් අපයෝජනයට ලක් වුන කෙනෙක් නිසා සැකයක් වෙන්න පුළුවන් .. 2.අම්මගෙ දුප්පත්කම නිසා දැන දැන ඉවසනව වෙන්නත් පුළුවන්.. 3.නැත්තන් සහන් සර්ගෙ ළමයෙක් වෙන්නත් පුළුවන්..ඒකයි අම්මා කළබල වුනේ නැත්තේ... 4.එහෙමත් නැත්තන් ශිෂ්‍යත්වය කියන දේ ඔීනවට වඩා මිනිස්සු ලොකු කරනපඑක ගැන පාඩමක් වෙන්න්ත් පුළුවන්.. කැමති කෙනෙක්ට කැමති විදියකට හිතන්න පුළුවන්..👍
