My favourite Beatles' album is 'Please, Please Me', released 22 March, 1963. I think the song 'Do You Want To Know A Secret' from that album ( I imagine written mainly or entirely by John Lennon ) is as fine a pop song as has ever been written! I love The Beatles' version sung by George ( Harrison ). And the Billy J Kramer version which was the first version of the song I heard. Cheers - Mike.

Great singer!!!! love him!!!!! been listening to him since kindergarten!!!! I know a lot of people that love him!!!! Moncton misses him!!!! The passed evergreen kids would kill for him to sing American pie again! You should get him to make a video!! I'd listen to it everyday!!!
I really hope you guys post a lot more Beatles covers. They are just great.

I always thought it was about john and paul.Sadly found out recently it was about paul and linda.I think all beatle fans wanna think its about paul and john but its not.
@capellaspot7 жыл бұрын
You know, I just heard that recently as well. Makes sense.

It is about John and himself - their time together to that point was longer than John's road ahead.
@LucretiusNigro3 жыл бұрын
I think so too... this is one of the many that Paul wrote talking 'with' John at that time; like - for example - the beginning of the Abbey Road medley ("Boy, you gonna carry that weight/ Carry that weight a long time"), and... (for me) "The Long winding Road" too is about him and John (...).

Brilliant love your Beatles covers, harmonies etc, how long have been together? Sounds like a long time? A great band here in Liverpool who played with the Beatles in the early 60’s called Cy Tucker, he use to do a great version of Help and also Lady Soul. Check out on KZfaq, sadly Tommy (Cy Tucker) was the first person in Liverpool to die from Covid. R.I.P. Tucker. Brian. YNWA. Liverpool. UK.

I think your idea of the song is dead on. A lot of this sounds too much like things they would have done. It doesn't make sense to me that Paul McCartney and his wife would go around burning matches and lifting latches. LOL sounds more like Schoolboy Antics to me. I'm sure he dedicated it to his wife but it's a story of two young men and their Adventures growing up.
