1) larger visual field to see from 2) an arrow closer to the eye allows tighter target sighting/accuracy Great stuff & super practical! Also that this isn't typical for tournament archers.

I almost always did this intuitively since I was a kid, now I have some insight as to why it feels better, thank you!

I've always canted my traditional bows when shooting. Sometimes more and sometimes less. Hunting gives you conditions of all kinds when it comes to time to make the shot. Shooting upright only, when you practice or in 3D ranges, will make for unrealistic habits when hunting. I was never really good at 3D tournament scores, but I have been more successful in killing animals than most of my 3D tournament companions. A flatter grip allows you to get your hand right underneath the arrow, and a higher anchor point allows for less discrepancy in the vision to target path. So that when you cant your bow, it's more of a pivot point for the arrow. Less offset from upright to canted positions.

Same - what I said in video more or less - this is discovered through pressure and flight time I find…I have found many wheel bow people trying to shoot mid to hi wrist grips way too flat and wondering why they have issues throwing arrows as well when shooting traditional bows. I don’t espouse to the latest greatest shot experts that popped up the last few years that rant that there way is the best. People are individuals and will end up being the best coach than anyone else.

@@grantrichardson3912 true. I have also realized that so many manufacturers have made mid to high wrist grips in larger numbers than low or flat grips. Many people buy what is most prevalent and don't realize a low or flat grip might be better for them. It happened to me for years. Then I started making self bows and figured out low GRIPS are best for me. So then I ordered a longbow blank from 3rivers and a custom recurve blank from old master CRAFTERS. Both turned out great with my style of grip.
