A stray showed up at my house and somehow never left. At first he was terrified of my truck. He'd freeze up next to it. I'd have to pick him up and put him in, even after throwing cheese or treats on the seat. Every day after work, I'd pick him up, put him in the truck and drive to someplace he'd like to go, the dog park, the lake, or walking trails. After a month or so a light clicked in his head. Riding in the truck was a great thing, and he's loved it ever since.

Bingo! My Dad was having trouble getting the dog to get in the truck and go to the vet. I asked him if he ever took the dog anywhere else and he said, "no." So I told him to take the dog to Sonic for some kind of treat and other fun places, and that dog learned to LOVE truck rides. 😊

@@cheryal2809 I have a dachshund who is the complete opposite. He loves car rides DESPITE that the vet is the only place I ever take him, and he despises the vet. He'll still enthusiastically go near the car every time he goes outside, though.

A yellow lab was dumped injured near my home. After a trip to the emergency vet he became my dog. I have had him for 13 years now. He is now diabetic & blind; two insulin injections a day....but he's still my "yeller feller" Still a very happy dog and being blind has never slowed him down.

Camille is one of the best fosters to be showcased on this channel. So many foster people, having the best intentions, will force themselves on the new dog and force the dog into new environments. This is the first time where a foster volunteer is willing to stand or sit next to a dog for weeks and just wait for the dog to decide when he's ready. Awesome job, Camille!! 💚

Absolutely you can’t force anything they’re coming from a very bad situation and it’s all they know they need to learn to trust again and know they are safe and that takes time I agree about Camille she’s wonderful with the animals she fosters

She is an EARTH ANGEL. An animal rescuer are beautiful people and don't even know it. I'm a 24 years animal rescuer. I grew up on the farm. I love animals. Now at the age of 76. A couple of Christmas ago, I was told I was a STAR SEED. Google it and the definition will show up. I was shocked. My daughter looked it up and said "Yup, that's you mom"❤❤❤❤❤❤. I'm not the only one out there like this either.

Doesn't look like they were mistreated. It was a hoarding issue. Previous owner just had way too many dogs to properly care for, but usually hoarders are very fond of their animals. They were frozen with fear in a new environment because they weren't socialized outside of their previous home.

I have never in my life seen a dog freeze im fear. I have witnessed whining, tucking in their tail, wide eyes ... but never the level of freezing these two display. That's just crushingly sad. I am happy they are now being treated with love and patient guidance.

I had a deaf dog once terrified of everything. He was neglected and mistreated before he came to me. After I assured him I wasn't going to hurt him he stayed right by my side. He would lean on me as I did dishes or pretty much anything for six months. Then he as ok as long as he could see me. He learned quickly. So smart I only had to show him a couple times what I wanted. It was more difficult for me than him I think.

Thank you for saving these precious babies. They need to be adopted out together so that they don't regress after becoming so comfortable with their new life. Praying for Buddy and Hobbs to find their forever family very soon! But I'm so happy to see they're loved and in good hands until then. Btw, Echo is gorgeous as well! I adopted a bonded black lab pair of senior girls 4 yrs ago at the age of 11 and 8. No one wanted the 11 yo but we weren't going to separate the pair. They are now 15 and 12 and happy as ever although my 15 yo has lost some sight . I really pray you adopt them together. I can't imagine how my girls would've survived had they been separated. Adopting our senior girls was the best decision we ever made so I hope someone out there adopts this pair.

I’m sooooo grateful for wonderful people like this woman . She’s a really rare breed . This story made me cry !!!! I hope they get a family that deserves them and will smother them with love. Animal cruelty , child and elderly abuse , are the worst situations I can think of. I wouldn’t be able to control myself if I witnessed any abuse of those helpless , defenseless vulnerable beings

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 our girl was so scared too when she came home with us. Came out of an abusive situation, didnt like other dogs or ppl she would keep her head buried in the corner or under something. Got her to break out of shell tho, forced her to chill with friends and their dogs she started getting happy and doing zoomies whenever i said friends names or their dogs names. Ive had her for 13 years now still with us and super healthy and happy. Dont know how old she is exactly but she acts like a puppy still in every way. Got her a pocket bully about 5 years after i got her as a friend at home. Inseparable now ❤❤❤

Wonderful! My daughter’s rescue was a tall, skinny dog, who was aggressive toward people. He’s now a lovely cuddly bundle still scared of strangers but gosh he loves his family.
