As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, BTS, which stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bulletproof Boy Scouts, is a South Korean boy band that gained immense popularity both in South Korea and internationally. Here's some general information about BTS up to that point:
Formation and Members:
BTS was formed by Big Hit Entertainment and debuted on June 13, 2013.
The group consists of seven members: RM (formerly known as Rap Monster), Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
Music Style and Genre:
BTS is known for its versatile music style that incorporates elements of hip-hop, R&B, pop, and rock.
Their lyrics often touch on themes such as mental health, self-love, and societal issues.

Woah, she should do a part two, because there's so many more amazing moments for the history books. Like our Queen "Spring Day" that STILL hasn't left the charts, and I think it's been around 6,5 years by now, if I'm not mistaken. I can't think of ANY other song on any chart at all that has charted for 6,5 concecutive years without leaving.

18:24 many universities and students had already BTS contents in their lectures ,Books, ARMY'S who graduated gaves speeches inspired by BTS specially mentioned RM'S poetic encouragement/ speeches THANK him of who they are now❤ Some professionals and in different walks of life Admired BTS RM's knowledge/ genius brain.❤ BTS company sometimes RM attend their business meetings with their shareholders/staff in order for BTS RM share his ideas .

It’s funny i’m watching this now when earlier today I visited their James Jean x BTS exhibit which also displayed some of their actual BBMA and AMA trophies as well as their Billboard Hot 100 plaques. It was cool to see the physical manifestation of their hard work and also support from ARMY including me. I said in my head “ah, wow. I contributed a tiny percent of that award”-felt emotional seeing the trophies.

Originally, BTS planned to go to the military in 2020 where the oldest member, Jin is 28 but the pandemic happened and they have to wait. Now, since they can go, they decided to go together even JK can actually wait until 2027 . It is said that this is the first time all member of a group go together at the same time.

Just to clarify they are staggering their entry into the military. Jin went in December 2022 followed by J-Hope in April 2023. Yoongi is doing Public Sevice due to his shoulder injury. He started that in September. The rest have now rescinded their military exemption so should be in by Christmas this year. So, they haven’t gone in together but will all be in at the same time by the end of the year.

Jin was 30 when he entered the military. He turned 31 a few weeks later and has been doing a very good job that he received early promotions twice. Not because he is BTS but because he passed all the requirements and tests with flying colors. The same goes for JHope and all the other members are doing well because they are used to the hard physical training that they had at Bighit. They work their butts off in everything that they do that really matters. Hats off to them.

RM has a very high IQ and he's great Reader he gets fans to read books that they've never would have read if he hadn't of read them himself and told us about them. Often quoting line's from books in his lyric's.

RM has released several "book reading lists". Some on the list are, Hwang Kyung Shin's "11 PM", "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi, "Me Before You" by Jo Jo Moyes, "Stories of Your Life and Others" by Ted Chiang, "1984" by George Orwell, "Nature" by Ralph Waldo Emerson, etc. These are just some on his lists. Many are from Asian authors who don't get much recognition.

Bruh , if you knew , RM was known as a kid to be really good at writing , he even won different competition of poetry in elementary school, those competitions aren’t easy , cuz is SK lol. I remembered someone leaked a poem he did as a kid about the union of SK and NK , which is pretty well written and deep , he was less than 10 😂. And yes he read a lot of books , but I guess is cuz he knows that he doesn’t know all as he did mistakes in the past ( that weren’t that bad really ) but it really got him so he keep learning , which is why that speech was so him , you can tell he was really genuine , also a lot of part of that speech were stuff that he already wrote though all the BTS discography at that time. Like referring from intro are you late too? ( 2013) to magic shop , anpaman and love myself: answer ( 2018 , the year of this speech ). Also BtS didn’t do that for the government , as you see they always wanted to help and give hope to the youth , and they just saw that opportunity with the unicef in 2017 when they did that campaign that got A LOT money so they got invited cuz of that , not cuz the government, actually at that time their country didn’t took them that seriously cuz you know the Korean media didn’t post about BtS much. So after that and the fuss it made then the government tried to get some of it. But cuz of their deal of unicef they still get invited regardless. You can even see videos of suga back in 2014 that he said he want to do charity in the future (when he got some money ) so to been taken seriously he didn’t put on tattoos.

I loved that movie Idiocy because it’s so true. I’ve always said the human race as a species is incredibly stupid. There are incredibly intelligent people in the species but wow we are dumb. 💜💜💜 Joonie visits museums and art galleries whenever he can. He also reads a lot of books as well.

18:50 RM often shares his book recomendations on Vlive and Instagram. All the boys share what theyre currently enjoying or learning from pretty reguarly tbh. And a lot of their music reflects what they study in their own time. Most easy to spot is their themes of sense of self, acceptance and love, and commentary on social justice. Edit: i promise, anytime they make a speech, its their own words. RM is very well known for being in the top 1% of students before graduation and his speaking and writing skills

Go with your instincts keep politics out please. Politics are divisive unfortunately. BTS is about finding common ground and bringing people together and bringing joy. If we want political opinions we would be watching Fox or MSNBC. A criticism sent with sincere love and affection 💜

They really could make a country. I was at the concerts they had in Germany a couple years ago. The whole area where the concert arena is located in, was full of armys. I have been at that arena for other kpop concerts as well, but the fans were so much friendlier and easier to talk to. Everyone was so excited and happy despite waiting for days in line to get the best spot ( we had standing tickets). We recognized each other due to lanyards around the necks or merchandise and just smiled or said hello to each other. It was such a happy place for those couple of days. Literally like army town. I never had such a great feeling.

It's insane. I have been to a lot of kpop concerts, but this was different. It made you feel as if everyone there was your friend. I'm more on the shy side and introvertet. But when I was there I just felt accepted and more outgoing. Obviously it's because I know i have something in common with the people there who are also attanding but still. I've never experienced anything like this at other concerts. This sense of friendship, connection, belonging, peacefulness, happiness, excitement, everyone helping each other. We couldn't sleep for two days because we were waiting in line for the numbering but talking with everone there, sharing food and blankets was making up for the tiredness. I wish everyone could experience that feeling. To this days those two concert days and those tiresome days waiting in line were the best time of my live. It literally felt as if we were in a bubblr or different world.

I’d sell my house, pack my bags, my dog, my cat, my leftovers, and dip out immediately 22:13 but also let’s be real….would trump have invited bts to speak on anti-Asian hate? Would he speak on it in general? Dems don’t love Biden but they wanted trump to not win because of his racism and trigger finger and overall evil behavior. Truly: imagine what a trump-bts meeting would have been…. It makes me nauseous. He would have ordered Chinese food and hung up a Japanese flag and then call them North Korean actors.

She always brings receipts straight up facts. Backs them up. I enjoy her stuff. BTS is above everyone in my opinion. It's not just music and choreo it's what they represent who they are and their messages. There is none other. If they had a country of their own I'd move their RM can be my president. Lol. No matter who else breaks records climb the mountain they still won't be BTS and will never reach their height.

I am not from USA but from outside, Trump's speaking abilities were so low. He was like a clown, Biden like an amateur and Obama actually was a very intelligent, well spoken person. I do not know about their impact in the country but lately USA is choosing bad presidents

I’m glad you prefaced your comment by saying “I am not from the USA” because it’s very obvious from your general assessment of the 3 presidents. Trump is hated by the elite (ie media included) because he champions what’s good for regular citizens of the US. No offense, but President Obama was not intelligent. He worked in the government his whole life, and yes- being black helped him in his position with DNC. The race relations got worse under him, not better. In contrast- Trump is in fact intelligent despite what the media says. In terms of impact- Trump already had major impact in the world because of his own business in foreign countries. You cannot build and sustain a business empire like that without being intelligent. This is why foreign leaders respect and feared him more than Obama or Biden. As a result, US was not involved in new wars under Trump (first in decades). EU increased their military funding per Trump’s demand. And to bring it back to BTS/Korea- talks between North & South Korea happened under Trump’s negotiation leadership. Don’t know what happened since then, but I watched a documentary of many of the families impacted by that negotiation where so many got to visit with their loved ones in NK after 50+ yrs. I would say- it made a big impact for them. The Democrats loved Trump (prior to his presidential run) because he could saddle both business and entertainment. In fact Trump was one of them socially. They turned against him solely because of political party divide and because he exposed so much of the corruption in the US. Obama- I actually don’t know what he did except the “accomplishments” of being a President. Obamacare was and is a disaster because it increased the cost of our healthcare even more to this day. And he gave money to Iran which is probably used to fund terrorism and to silence women because that’s what they do. Ok, I’ll get off my soapbox now 😊. Just as BTS was not given fair shake by music industry and media, the same is true about Trump in media because they can’t control him.

If the US music industry was more honest you would have heard of BTS years ago. When BTS sold numbers in the US their achievement was hidden in a foreign music award which got no interest from the media. Also when BTS fa ns asked the radio stations to play their songs they ignored all the fans requests and only played songs by artists who had paid bribes. This is relevant because spins on the radio counted towards Grammy choices. Even now that the guys have released songs in English and made the highest sales they are still put in the foreign music awards. Even this year if you listen to playlists of what is trending now BTS or the boys solo work doesn't get included. By the way talking about dumbing down and celebrity presidents, have you forgotten you had Ronald Reagan as president.

for some context. Korean age 30 is international age 28 so they are all practically still in their late 20s. Korea had a crazy age system, (where you are a year old when you are born eg when u are born anytime in 2000 you are 1 yr old and on 1 January 2001 you gain another year, it doesnt matter whether you are born 1 january 2000 or 31 December 2000, all of you still turn 25 on 1 jan 2023). thank the Lord they abolished it this year. it was very confusing for international fans

If BTS had their own country, I would definitely want to live in it... without political acrobatics, without meanies, without envy, without wars and other things that make our status as "people" laughable... thanks to some who have power and "rule" this world, people have come to stop trusting each other, to harm each other without remorse... but this group of young people appeared who gave us hope... as if you can see the "light at the end of the tunnel"... from thiscause they have an extraordinarily large fan base...bts is a power in this world...they are still under construction...but the finish will be spectacular...💜

I ❤ BTS but there is legitimacy to the criticism about the WH event. As BTS fan, I’m happy for them and the experience they got. But as a citizen of US, I also see that they were used. 1) they are not citizens of this country and they don’t even live here- to be given the Presidential podium is a big deal! It’s like asking Justin Bieber to go to SK and speak to Koreans about their local state of what they are doing wrong on behalf of SK’s president. Would you be ok with that? 2.) that event was supposed to be for Asian- Americans to be highlighted and recognized. There’s plenty of us in this country and we know there’s plenty of Asian-American talents in this country. 3.) BTS was used by Biden for “popularity” and image. If it was the issue he cared about- then again, he would have actually highlighted Asian-Americans and given them that same kind of platform and recognition. Edit: just a quick add, in Namjoon’s interview with Pharrell, I think he even recognized how politicians use them. At one point of the interview he commented on being confused what they are- political ambassadors or musicians.

Watch Biden's latest Thanksgiving speech last week and also the Annual correspondence dinner April 2023, then tell me the man can't speak after that. Trump had boycotted correspondence dinner when he was president because we all know he is not competent eloquent, he speaks like a 10 year old (and that is an insult to 10 year olds) News flash, check google for your points and google your state dept for facts and comparison so you are up to date on facts!. High Crime Rates - The Red Republican States are recording the highest crime rates currently, and Republicans threatened several times to shut the US government down unless the Dems agree to cut budget and funding to the law and order agencies. They are in charge of congress now not the Dems, and they are not writing sensible gun laws to protect or to reduce illegal guns, into the country, a lot of crime would be down if guns are not so readily pumped into the system. Open Borders?? No country has that, stop with Fox's talking point. Why draw lines and have a border if it is open! High Crime and High Border Crossings, are happening because the Republicans who are the majority in the congress now and also when they were previously, refuse to spend their time drafting and writing border crossing and enforcement laws, which is their job, to help come to a solution with the Dems to solve it. Instead they are touting and screaming all these talking points being the problems without putting any effort or proposals or hearings in congress, or a blocking the Dems' proposals to bring it down. Americans elected them to be the majority lawmakers in this current congress, but they do nothing but blame the Dems for what they see as "good politics" to keep screaming these problems so that low information constituents believe them without holding them to account to write , enact and appropriate funds for the border problems, just to do their jobs . Interest Rates going up is throughout the world, it is a world wide problem now. Rationally, Interest rates cannot keep on being low, for the world to continue spending and consuming wrecklessly on credit or loan, without ever going up for a correction, it has to happen sometime, now or in the future! This is not Biden's fault. The US is recording the lowest inflation rates 3.2% as of Oct 2023, compared to other countries in Europe which ranges from 6,.4 to 9.6%, In Singapore it is 5 -7 +%. Biden and his policies had brought down inflation and possibly staved off a reccession. Gas prices have gone up throughout the world due to the effects of supply chain interruptions, the war in Ukraine. Food prices have gone up from Covid and inflation throughout the World. The lack of workers to help boost production supply and delivery contributes to that. You should google and check what Trump did with legal migrant workers, his tariffs on farmers and manufactured imports that contributed to that. What is this that Biden secured a 3rd world war? If it happens it will be due to several other heads of states or any dictator who make a miscalculated move of aggression to dominate or attack another Sovereign State or Country. The ripple effects of self or collective preservation that will come with that, will result in another world war. Read the green new deal, and Biden has a good plan in it, he has done good for the US now. I would opt to have a dignified, compassionate, decent and experienced steady handed statesman that is Biden anytime, compared to the alternative bunch of lying Republicans. Trump gave a tax break to the uber rich and mismanaged a pandemic that killed over a Million Americans, more than all the war dead your Country has ever had in total! His so called 450 miles of a border wall, which US tax dollars paid for, mind you, US15 BiLLION was appropriated for that, and not Mexico, was a makeshift structure is now falling into pieces. Not to mention it eroded federal land, robbed people of parts of their land, disrupted water supply, damaged sacred Tribal sites and guess what? It has failed miserably in keeping out illegal crossing. The Republicans were fully in charge then and now too, what the heck are they doing then and now? They would give billions for such a vanity project but want to cut healthcare, social security and food programs for the poor kids and elderly. De fund the IRS from going after the rich fat cats who don't pay their taxes unlike, normal citizens and yes! migrant workers, who work and also pay their fair share of taxes. It was Trump who sold the US out to the Russians, Chinese and the Saudis not Biden! Good luck with your plans to Thailand! I sincerely wish you well! You know what? Things are not rosy and as stable in Asia as you think, so relocate all you want but keep your US citizenship close because it may be the only thing you may fall back on in political turmoils which Thailand has had it fair share of and when the shit hits the fan in Asia.
